Day 1

Old Town & Historical Sites

Start at Fort Jesus Museum (open daily 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM;
Explore the 16th-century Portuguese fort, its museum exhibits, ancient cannons, and architectural features. Guided tours and cultural performances may be available.
Walk through Old Town via a guided city tour to see narrow streets, Swahili architecture, spice markets, and local shops.
Visit Mombasa Memorial Cathedral.
Stop at Pembe Za Ndovu (Mombasa Tusks landmark) along Moi Avenue.
