Selous Game Reserve covers 5% of Tanzania's total area land area and is approximately 54,600sqkm. Selous is Africa's largest wild life reserve and Tanzania's most extensive protected area. Selous provide shelter of large number of elephants, lions, big populations of buffaloes, Wild dogs, crocodiles and hippopotamus; in Rufiji River also has a lot of bird life. Dar to selous, you will be picked by a guide at your Hotel, Air port or Ferry for safari briefing and then drive south to selous Game Reserve (Nyerere Np) which is approximately five and half hour’s drive from Dar es Salaam. On arrival you will get lunch and start with afternoon boat safaris in the Rufiji River. Overnight at Selous Mloka safaris lodge full board.
