Sonamarg is a hill station located in the Ganderbal District of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is located about 62 kilometers from Ganderbal Town and 80 kilometres northeast of the capital city, Srinagar. Sonamarg had historical significance as a gateway on the ancient Silk Road, connecting Kashmir with Tibet. Today, the hill station is a popular tourist destination amongst fishers and hikers, and following the Kargil War with neighbouring Pakistan in 1999, serves as a strategically important point for the Indian Army.

Day 1

Arrival in Srinagar & Transfer to Sonamarg

Arrival: Arrive at Srinagar Airport and drive to Sonamarg. Enroute: Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sindh Valley and surrounding mountains. Check-in: Settle into your hotel or guesthouse in Sonamarg. Evening: Explore the Sonamarg Meadows and enjoy a peaceful walk by the Sindh River. Overnight: Sonamarg.

Thajiwas Glacier & Local Exploration

Morning: Visit Thajiwas Glacier, one of the key attractions in Sonamarg. Afternoon: Explore the Baltal Valley or take a nature walk around the meadows. Evening: Relax by the river, enjoy local Kashmiri cuisine, or shop at local markets. Overnight: Sonamarg.

Zoji La Pass & Departure

Morning: Drive to Zoji La Pass Afternoon: Return to Sonamarg and drive back to Srinagar. Departure: Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey
