This 4 day 3 night private safari starts in Nairobi on June 23, 2026 and travels to Amboseli National Park for three days of game drives based at Olemayian Amboseli Cottages, then concludes with a train transfer from Emali to Mombasa and onward transfer to Diani. Highlights include iconic views of Mt Kilimanjaro, excellent elephant sightings, possible sightings of lions, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests and many gazelles, and birding with over 420 recorded species. Accommodation is at Olemayian Amboseli Cottages for nights 1 to 3, meals are provided as specified per day, transport, park fees and first class train tickets are included.
Day 1 starts on Tuesday June 23, 2026 in Nairobi. You meet your guide, then travel by road from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park with pickup from airport or Nairobi hotel. Arrive for lunch and an afternoon guided game drive from 4pm to 6pm with excellent chances to see elephants and big cats against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro. Your base is Olemayian Amboseli Cottages where you will spend the night. Meals provided on this day are lunch and dinner and drinking water is supplied.
Day 2 on Wednesday June 24, 2026 is a full day in Amboseli National Park. Spend the morning and afternoon on a full day game drive with a picnic lunch in the park, exploring Amboseli's plains, wildlife and birdlife. You return to Olemayian Amboseli Cottages for the night. Meals for the day include breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner, and drinking water is provided.
Day 3 on Thursday June 25, 2026 continues exploration of Amboseli National Park with another full day game drive. The game drive runs approximately 7am to 4pm with a picnic lunch in the park, offering more opportunities to view elephants, predators and abundant birdlife. You spend the night again at Olemayian Amboseli Cottages. Meals provided are breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner and drinking water is supplied.
Day 4 on Friday June 26, 2026 is the final day of the safari. In the morning you transfer to Emali train station and catch the train to Mombasa. The schedule includes transfer to Emali from approximately 7am to 8.30am, a first class train journey from Emali to Mombasa approximately 9.30am to 2pm, and a pickup by taxi from Mombasa at about 2.15pm to 2.45pm for transfer to your hotel in Diani. The day concludes the safari and you depart with memories from Amboseli. Breakfast and drinking water are provided on this day.
