5 Days Safari In Style With Walking Activities Tour

On this day you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha after your breakfast and you will drive to machame national park gate which is 45 minutes away from Moshi town.

One day Kilimanjaro Machame Route Day Hike Trip excursion along the Kilimanjaro Machame Route to Machame Camp. The first camp is to go to the Machame Route camp daily (11 km, 5 hours) and descend the Kilimanjaro Machame route on the same day. A hike will take you through the vegetation zone / montane forest where you can take photos and generally enjoy the adventures in a single day.

You will ascend with our professional mountain guide and some porters to carry materials. You will be picked up from Moshi/Arusha approx. 35 km from Moshi/Arusha, which will take you to Machame Gate in approx. at least 45 minutes. We take care of registration and payment and obtain a valid hiking permit. The trek starts from Machame gate and the walking distance to Machame camp is 11km (22km return) which takes 5 hours each way.

Description

Soak in the geothermal waters and nature at the Chemka Hot Springs, located about 35 km from Moshi, in the heart of the Sanya Plains, on a day trip from Moshi. Also known as Maji Moto, go swimming and picnic at the idyllic oasis and if you are lucky, you can enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day.

Moshi to Chemka Hotspring

You will be picked up by your tour guide from Moshi. Drive towards the Chemka Hotspring, which emerge in the middle of an arid and dusty landscape. They are locally called Chemka (cooking). That may seem so, but the water is not hot; instead, it is a pleasant temperature!
It is an excellent place to visit for a picnic and swimming. Enjoy the views of Kilimanjaro on a clear day. Unfortunately, the water is full of fluorine, which means the locals can’t use it for drinking. The crystal clear, turquoise water surrounded by palm trees and winding roots offers a picturesque place to enjoy a swim.
At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back in Moshi.

On this day in the morning at 08 am after your breakfast your driver will pick you up at lodge/ hotel and drive you to Siha district which is found in the west Kilimanjaro region, a 35-minute drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport, 60 minutes from Moshi town and approximately 90 minutes from Arusha City.

The animals that reside within our wildlife sanctuary are owned by the Tanzanian Government and often brought to us by TAWA as orphans or injured wildlife. We treat and train our animals to prepare them for release into their natural habitat within TANAPA protected parks. Our wildlife sanctuary also doubles as an endangered species reintroduction platform to translocate animals to parts of its natural range where populations have significantly declined or been lost. Aiming to establish a viable population within translocated areas. Our most recent animals for release are our lions. Brought to us from other zoos due to being rejected by their mother at a very young age. Upon arrival these animals were in poor condition, we have trained them and nursed them back to health. With assistance from TAWA these animals are being softly released from captivity into their natural habitat.

Today you will get to Enjoy a peaceful and scenic canoeing safari following the shorelines of small Momella Lake. On this 2- 2.5 hours canoe safari you can view buffaloes, bushbuck, giraffes, hippos and many water birds living in and close to the water.

1 Day safari to Arusha National Park is one of the short-day tours in Tanzania just about 52 km from Arusha town. It is just about a 1 hour and 3 minutes’ drive from Arusha to the park. Arusha National Park doesn’t have large predators but hosts Africa’s largest giraffe population, a variety of primates, and a number of large herbivores. This little Jewel of Tanzania is host to Mount Meru (4566m) which is a popular option for mountaineers who do not want to hike the high Kilimanjaro Mountain.

Less visited than the popular safari destinations in Tanzania, Arusha National Park has a beautiful landscape with an incredible variety of flora and fauna. The vegetation of the park is formed as a blend from the swamp, grassland, tropical and montane forest.

Detailed Itinerary 1 Day Safari Arusha National Park

This safari to Arusha National Park starts early morning with breakfast your hotel or place of residence. Board the safari vehicle for a drive to the park taking about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

On arrival at the park, check-in and go for a walking safari in the park in the company of a park ranger. The ranger will guide you through the rainforest to the sparkling waterfalls where you can possibly spot the colobus monkeys.

Return from the nature walk and have lunch. After lunch board, the 4×4 safari vehicle for a game drives through the park trails. The game drive gives you an opportunity to see a large part of the park including places like the Momella lakes and Ngurduto Crater. Some of the wildlife that can possibly be spotted on the game drive include the buffalo, waterbuck, giraffe, zebra, warthog, and gazelle. The leopard and elephant are found in the park but rarely spotted. Several bird species can also be seen during the nature walk and game drive in Arusha National Park. After the game drive, you will be driven back to Arusha with a drop-off at a hotel or place of residence.
