6 Day Bhubaneswar - Konark - Puri - Gopalpur Tour

Arrival in Bhubaneswar airport, assistance and transfer to hotel. After fresh up visit to the ancient temples & beautiful examples of kalingan school of architecture - Parsurameswar temple (built in 7th century AD- small but beautiful temple ), Mukteswar Temple( 10th Century), Lingaraj Temple (11th Century ,perfect example of Hari Har cult )-the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar (Non-Hindu are not allowed inside the temple premises so view from adjoining elevated platform erected outside ), Rajarani Temple (11th Century). Afternoon visit to Khandagiri and Udaygiri Caves made for Jaina monks in 2nd Century B.C. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

Morning after breakfast visit to Sun temple at Konark which is a world heritage site managed by UNESCO .The temple was built by King Narasimhadeva in the 13th century, it is counted among the 7 wonders of India, famous for its magnificent erotic works and sculptures on Life. It is also known as “Black Pagoda” to westerners. Afterwards visit to Chandrabhaga beach , Later drive to Puri . Overnight at Puri.

Post breakfast visit to the Lord Jagannath temple. It is One of the four holy dham in India. Walk around Puri market for colourful photography and later drive to Satapada (in Chilika Lake). It is the largest brackish water lake in Asia spreading over 1100 Sq kms, famous for its migratory birds in winter and endangered Irrawaddy dolphins. Enjoy the motor boat ride to view the Irrawaddy dolphins, local birds & fishing in the lake etc. Overnight at Puri.

After Breakfast drive to Gopalpur. Gopalpur beach is famous for most picturesque seashores and gusty cold breeze all the time. The calmness of the beach is contagious that it soothes the senses. People comes to beach for improvement of health. There is an old lighthouse situated on the beach made by Britishers provides a 360 degree view of Gopalpur. Also can visit the fisherman village nearby..

Day at relax. But you can visit Berhampur market or visit hilltop temple Taratarini, which is a Shakti Pitha and a beautiful place of pilgrimage with amidst scenic surrounds.
