6-Day Discover Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro - Midrange

Arrival in Arusha and introduction to the safari. Guests receive an introductory briefing before the trip departs. Arusha offers lively streets to learn about local life, plus museums, markets and a rewarding local food scene. Accommodation for this night is at Green Side Hotel, which serves as the base for this leg of the trip. Meals for the day include breakfast and dinner.

Full day in Tarangire National Park, a landscape of large baobab trees and abundant wildlife. Tarangire is known for big elephant herds and a healthy lion population, with sightings of many other species almost guaranteed. Expect a classic safari scenery of savannah plains, river woodlands and rocky hills. Accommodation for the night is at Marera Valley Lodge, set back from the main road between Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara and close to Karatu. Meals for the day include breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Transfer to and first full day in the Serengeti National Park for the first of two nights. The Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its abundance of wildlife and predator activity. Activities focus on game viewing including lions, leopards, cheetahs and a wide range of herbivores. If visiting during the Great Migration, expect dramatic crossings and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Evenings are spent at a tented camp in a tranquil location where guests return for sunset and a bushfire experience under the stars. Accommodation is at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp. Meals for the day include breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A second day in Serengeti National Park to continue game viewing and wildlife immersion. Further opportunities to observe predators in action and the park landscapes. Guests return to Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp for another night, enjoying the camp location and evening atmosphere. Meals for the day include breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Return to Arusha for the penultimate day. Another chance to explore the city, its markets and local highlights. Accommodation is again at Green Side Hotel. Dinner is provided on this day.

End of safari and departure day. The safari concludes with transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport. Breakfast is provided before departure. Airport transfer is included.
