6-Day Kenya Luxury Safari | Amboseli | Nakuru | Mara NR

Nairobi is a lively bustling city at 1870m above sea level with a modern prosperous centre and efficient services. On arrival you will be picked up from JKIA by a company representative and transferred to your hotel where you will be assisted with check in. Spend the first night in the capital and attend a welcome dinner where you will be given a briefing of the safari.

After an early morning breakfast in Nairobi travel south to Amboseli National Park which sits against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is in the semi arid part of the country with a hot dry climate and is fed by an underground water supply from Kilimanjaro that funnels into clear water springs at the heart of the park. Reach your safari camp in time for the included lunch then take a tour of the camp followed by an afternoon game drive. One of the most spectacular sights is the large herd of elephants noted for an intact social structure.

Have breakfast and depart the Amboseli safari camp heading towards Lake Nakuru by road. Lake Nakuru is one of the soda lakes of the Rift Valley known for flamingos. Take an afternoon game drive through the park keeping an eye out for wildlife such as zebras monkeys rhinos and other species including black and white varieties. The flamingo spectacle has been a major draw though numbers have varied. Return to the lodge before sunset for an included dinner and overnight.

Continue the safari to the land of the Maasai the Masai Mara National Reserve. The reserve is famous for the annual migration of thousands of wildebeest gazelle and zebra which occurs mid year between July and September. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch then go for your first afternoon game drive keeping an eye out for Africas Big Five and possible hunt sightings. Return to the safari camp before nightfall and enjoy the included dinner.

Begin the day with an early breakfast and set out for a morning game drive across rolling hills waving savanna grasses and acacia trees. Immerse yourself in the Maasai way of life with a visit to a local village. The Masai Mara has a very high density of lions making Big Five sightings possible during game drives. Return to camp after the afternoon game drive for dinner and your final overnight in the Masai Mara.

Have breakfast at the Mara then set off for Nairobi. Tour the Karen Blixen Estate a former coffee plantation described in the novel Out of Africa and enjoy an included lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden. Spend the afternoon shopping then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. End of tour additional accommodation cannot be arranged by this operator and you will be dropped off at the airport.
