Nairobi is a lively bustling city at 1870m above sea level with a modern center and efficient services. On arrival you will be picked up from JKIA by a company representative and transferred to your hotel where you will be assisted with check in. Spend your first night in the capital and attend a welcome dinner where you will receive a brief of your safari. After an early morning breakfast in Nairobi, travel south to Amboseli National Park which sits against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is semi arid and usually hot and dry but is fed by underground water filtered from Kilimanjaro that emerges as clear springs in the park. Arrive at your safari camp in time for the included lunch, take a tour of the camp, and enjoy an afternoon game drive with excellent opportunities to view large herds of elephants and their intact social structures. Have breakfast and depart the Amboseli safari camp heading by road towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is one of the soda lakes of the Rift Valley and is famed for flamingos. Take an afternoon game drive through the park with opportunities to spot wildlife such as zebras, monkeys, rhinos and other birdlife. The park is notable for the spectacle of hundreds of thousands of flamingos though numbers have varied in recent years. Return to your lodge before sunset and sit for an included dinner. Continue your safari to the land of the Maasai the Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara is famous for the annual migration of thousands of wildebeest gazelle and zebra between July and September. Arrive at camp in time for lunch and then go for your first afternoon game drive with chances to observe Africa's Big Five and possible hunt sightings. Begin with an early breakfast and set out for a morning game drive across rolling hills savanna grasses and acacia trees. Immerse in the Maasai way of life during a visit to a local village. The Masai Mara has a very high density of lions and the park offers opportunities to watch for Big Five hunt scenes during game drives. Return to camp after the afternoon game drive and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay on your last night at the Masai Mara. Have breakfast at the Mara and set off for Nairobi. Tour the Karen Blixen Estate a former coffee plantation featured in the novel Out of Africa.
