Haridwar/Dehradun to Barkot (Yamunotri)
Start from Haridwar or Dehradun early in the morning.
Drive to Barkot (approx. 7-8 hours).
Check into your hotel and rest.
Activities : Sightseeing
Drive to Janki Chatti, the base for the Yamunotri trek.
Trek or hire a pony/palki for the 6 km journey to the Yamunotri Temple.
After darshan and a dip in the hot spring, return to Barkot.

Barkot to Uttarkashi (Gangotri)
Drive from Barkot to Uttarkashi (approx. 3-4 hours).
Check into your hotel.
Activities : Sightseeing
Early morning, drive to Gangotri (approx. 3-4 hours).
Visit the Gangotri Temple and take a dip in the holy Ganga river.
Return to Uttarkashi for the night.

Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
Drive to Guptkashi, the base for Kedarnath (a long drive, approx. 7-8 hours).
Check into your hotel and prepare for the next day's trek.
Activities : Trekking , Sightseeing
Kedarnath Darshan
Drive to Sonprayag/Gaurikund.
Start the 16 km trek to Kedarnath. This is the most challenging part of the yatra.
After darshan, begin the descent back to Guptkashi on the same day. (This is extremely difficult to do in one day and often requires staying overnight at Kedarnath, which is not possible in this 6N/7D itinerary).

Guptkashi to Haridwar/Dehradun
Begin your final long drive back to Haridwar/Dehradun, concluding the yatra.
