Package Overview

Embark on an extraordinary journey into Kenya's arid north, beginning at Ol Pejeta Conservancy home to the world's last two northern white rhinos. Here, you'll engage in an unforgettable tracking experience and visit the Sweetwater Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The trail then leads to Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, where the critically endangered Mountain Bongo, known as the "ghost of the forest," awaits. Enjoy an interactive session with these elusive creatures alongside other remarkable species, including the colobus monkey. The journey continues across the rugged, red-earth terrain of Samburu, where the legendary Samburu Special Five take center stage the rare Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Somali ostrich, and the gravity-defying gerenuk, species found almost nowhere else on Earth. Following the life-giving Ewaso Ng'iro River, witness massive elephant herds dusted red by the local soil, and predators stealthily moving through ancient doum palms. Beyond the wildlife, the itinerary offers profound cultural immersion with the Samburu people, whose vibrant traditions and semi-nomadic lifestyle remain beautifully preserved. This leg of the journey is a masterclass in biodiversity and heritage, set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Ololokwe's iconic flat-topped summit. As the tour reaches its peak, Meru National Park emerges as a rugged, spring-fed wilderness steeped in legend made famous by the Born Free film and home to the gravesite of Joy Adamson and her beloved lioness Elsa. Far from the crowds, Meru delivers intimate wildlife encounters in one of Kenya's most untouched landscapes. The adventure concludes with a scenic drive back to Nairobi, ending with a city tour that marks the close of an extraordinary northern odyssey. From the last northern white rhinos to the ghost of the forest, from the Samburu Special Five to the spirit of Born Free, this journey is a rare and immersive celebration of Kenya's most awe-inspiring wildlife, cultures, and landscapes a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience across the magnificent north.
