Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Arusha/moshi → Londorossi Gate → Forest Camp

Meet in Arusha or Moshi in the morning and depart for Londorossi Gate. Begin trekking through lush rainforest with your guides. The trail is peaceful, shaded, and rich in wildlife.
Overnight: Forest Camp (≈ 2,700 m)
Duration: 3–4 hrs

Day 2 Forest Camp → Shira 1 Camp

Climb out of the rainforest into open moorland. The views open wide as you trek onto the Shira Plateau. This is a great day to settle into high altitude with a steady, gentle ascent.
Overnight: Shira 1 Camp (≈ 3,500 m)
Duration: 5–6 hrs
Highlights: Expansive views, alpine vegetation

Day 3 Shira 1 → Shira 2 → Moir Camp

Cross the high plateau. The trail skirts ancient volcanic cones before reaching Moir Camp, tucked into dramatic rocky scenery. A good acclimatization day.
Overnight: Moir Camp (≈ 4,050 m)
Duration: 5–6 hrs
Highlights: Wide highland vistas, gradual altitude gain

Day 4 Moir → Barranco Camp

Hike toward the southern slopes and descend slightly to Barranco Camp. Along the way, you’ll enjoy sweeping ridgeline views and time to rest before steeper sections.
Overnight: Barranco Camp (≈ 3,900 m)
Duration: 6–7 hrs
Highlights: Scenic views, great for photography

Day 5 Barranco → Karanga → Barafu Camp

After breakfast, conquer the iconic Barranco Wall — a fun scramble that isn’t technical but feels rewarding. Trek onward to Karanga Camp, then rise to Barafu Camp, where you’ll prepare for the summit push.
Overnight: Barafu Camp (≈ 4,640 m)
Duration: 6–8 hrs
Highlights: Barranco Wall, alpine desert

Day 6 Barafu → Summit → Mweka Camp

This is the big day. You’ll start late at night so you can reach Uhuru Peak for sunrise. Once at the summit, enjoy a brief rest before descending back to Mweka Camp.
Overnight: Mweka Camp (≈ 3,100 m)
Duration: 10–14 hrs
Highlights: Sunrise at the summit, unforgettable views

Day 7 Mweka → Mweka Gate → Arusha/moshi

Final descent through beautiful forest back to the trailhead. Certificates are issued at the gate before your private transfer back to town.
