7-Day Safari to See Great Migration in Lake Ndutu

After breakfast, start with your safari from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time, thousands of animals like wildebeest, buffalo, and oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing. Drive to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.

You will have an early morning breakfast in Manyara, then drive to the great Serengeti National Park with lunch and game drives en route. After breakfast, we start a day with morning game drives in Serengeti National Park, marveling at the stunning scenery, ever-changing light, and always entertaining wildlife-all explained to you by your expert guide. You'll have an optional picnic or hot lunch at 12:30 am. After lunch, we set off again for afternoon game drives that take us till sunset at 6:30 PM, when we head back to camp for dinner and overnight at Intimate Places Tented Camp.

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then descend into the crater floor for game drives. All of the Big Five (rhino, lion, leopard buffalo, and elephant) live in this wonderful caldera. Other wildlife that live here are zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena, and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda lake, geese, storks, vultures, and more. Your lunch will be served at the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp, a Hippo pool. After lunch, we drive you back to Arusha and drop you off at the airport/hotel.
