Hiking Time: 3–4 hours Distance: 7 km Zone: Montane Forest Begin your trek through lush rainforest teeming with wildlife. Overnight at Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Hiking Time: 5–7 hours Distance: 8 km Ascend through forest and onto the Shira Plateau, crossing ridges and valleys. Camp at Shira 1 with stunning views of Kibo.

Hiking Time: 3–4 hours Distance: 7 km Enjoy an easy trek across the plateau. Spend the afternoon exploring the area or taking an acclimatization hike.

Hiking Time: 6–8 hours Distance: 10 km Climb to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp, famous for its sunset views and proximity to the Barranco Wall.

Hiking Time: 7–9 hours Distance: 9 km Ascend the Barranco Wall, traverse alpine terrain, and reach Barafu Camp, your basecamp for the summit attempt. Early dinner and rest before midnight push.

Hiking Time: 12–14 hours Distance: ~15 km Start the summit attempt at midnight, reaching Stella Point at sunrise and Uhuru Peak shortly after. Celebrate briefly, then descend to Mweka Camp.
