7 Days Meghalaya With Kaziranga - Trekking Tour

You will be picked up by our representative cum driver at the airport/railway station process to Kaziranga. Upon arrival Visit Kaziranga thro Jeep safari. (If time gives permit or you can do jeep next day also)
In evening visit Kaziranga Sandhya, where you can enjoy traditional song and dance.
Overnight stay at resort.

Get up early for elephant safari into the forest. Our representative will take you to the elephant riding point by jeeps. Here we will be carried through the tall grass. Meanwhile the morning mists will slowly lift leading to an experience that one cannot forget easily. The elephant safari is the best mean for wildlife viewing as the wild animals are not afraid of the elephants and it is possible to observe them from very closely.
After that back to hotel and take your breakfast and proceed to Shillong (3 hours), the capital of the state of Meghalaya and home to the Khasi tribe. Shillong has rightly earned the sobriquet of "Scotland of the East" owing to the rolling hills, beautiful scenery and climate. On the way you will visit the beautiful Umiam Lake, a major tourist attraction located just before entering Shillong. You will visit-

Delight in Cherrapunjee tourism as you will explore popular tourist attractions. On the way visit Shillong peak and get a bird's eye view of the entire city of Shillong and then go to Elephanta falls. Relish a delicious breakfast and proceed for excursion to Cherrapunjee. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave or Arwah Cave.

Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and directly process to Nongriat. It is perhaps best known for its living root bridges; one an impressive double-decker suspension bridge called Jingkieng Nongriat The trek to the Living Root Bridge of the Nongriat village near Cherrapunjee is not for the weak-kneed or the faint hearted . The living root bridges of
Nongriat village are one of the manmade wonders, dating back many centuries. The aerial roots of Banyan tree on opposite sides of the river are continuously twisted, given direction and woven together, till it can be shaped and strengthened into a sturdy bridge. This is the only means for the villagers to cross theraging water streams to reach the other side. There are two living root bridges in Nongriat, a single decker bridge, and a double decker
bridge. Over night stay at cherrapunjee.

After a refreshing morning, you will drive to Mawsynram famous for being the wettest region in the world, Mawsynram holds a Guinness World Record for receiving almost 26,000 mm of rainfall back in the year 1985.

After a refreshing morning, take your breakfast and drive from Cherrapunjee to Dawki and river Umgnot, with pictures of crystal clear waters popular in the social media. You can have a bath over here, enjoy local boating.
Mawlynnong- A picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. Declared as the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, the modestly existing Mawlynnong has alternatively been known as 'God's own garden' too go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. You can visit Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, Bangladesh View point and the longest Living Root Bridge. After all drive back to Shillong and overnight Stay.

After arriving go for Visit Maa Kamakhya Temple , Umananda Island, world’s smallest Island. Deepor Beel .Balaji Temple From there moves on towards Guwahati Airport or Railway Station with some pleasant memories in your mind for your onward journey to home... Here the tour ends.
