Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Nare Muru Gate To Simba Camp (7 Km | 3-4 Hrs | Rainforest)

Drive from Moshi/Arusha to the Kilimanjaro Gate, then trek through lush rainforest to Simba Camp, with views of the Kenyan plains.

Elevation: 1997m to 2635m | Altitude gained: 638m

Day 2 Simba Camp To Second Cave Camp (5.8 Km | 5-6 Hrs | Moorland)

Ascend through moorland, enjoying views of Kibo and the ice fields.

Elevation: 2635m to 3487m | Altitude gained: 852m

Day 3 Second Cave Camp To Kikelewa Camp (5.95 Km | 2-3 Hrs | Semi Desert)

Continue toward Mawenzi, acclimatizing as you go.

Mawenzi Peak

Climb to Mawenzi Tarn beneath Mawenzi peaks for acclimatization.

Day 5 Mawenzi Tarn To Kibo Hut (8.9 Km | 4-5 Hrs | Alpine Desert)

Cross the saddle to Kibo, preparing for summit night.

Elevation: 4302m to 4714m | Altitude gained: 412m

Day 6 Kibo Hut To Summit To Horombo Huts (4 Km Up | 5-7 Hrs | Glaciers | 15.75 Km Down | 5-6 Hrs)

Uhuru Peak

Summit to Uhuru Peak, then descend to Horombo Huts.

Elevation: 4302m to 5895m (Summit) | Altitude gained: 721m | Descent: 2174m

Day 7 Horombo Huts To Marangu Gate To Moshi (20 Km | 6-7 Hrs | Rainforest)

Descend through the rainforest, returning to Moshi/Arusha.
