Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nare Muru Gate to Simba Camp (7 km | 3-4 hrs | Rainforest)

  Drive from Moshi/Arusha to the Kilimanjaro Gate, then trek through lush rainforest to Simba Camp, with views of the Kenyan plains.

• Day 2 : Simba Camp to Second Cave Camp (5.8 km | 5-6 hrs | Moorland)

  Ascend through moorland, enjoying views of Kibo and the ice fields.

• Day 3 : Second Cave Camp to Kikelewa Camp (5.95 km | 2-3 hrs | Semi Desert)

  Continue toward Mawenzi, acclimatizing as you go.

• Day 4 : Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn (3.75 km | 3-4 hrs | Semi Desert)

  Climb to Mawenzi Tarn beneath Mawenzi peaks for acclimatization.

• Day 5 : Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut (8.9 km | 4-5 hrs | Alpine Desert)

  Cross the saddle to Kibo, preparing for summit night.

• Day 6 : Kibo Hut to Summit to Horombo Huts (4 km up | 5-7 hrs | Glaciers | 15.75 km down | 5-6 hrs)

  Summit to Uhuru Peak, then descend to Horombo Huts.
