You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport with our driver-guide who will be waiting for you with a warm welcoming smile. Kick back and relax in your comfortable vehicle as he takes you to your hotel in Arusha, Tanzania’s self-styled ‘safari capital. On your journey to the hotel, you will get a brief impression of this large, bustling, commercial city. You will have your pre-safari briefing today. Overnight at Arusha.

Pick up from your accommodation in Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park. This park, with its endless grasslands, huge baobab trees, the perennial Tarangire River, and seasonal swamps, is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. Animals gather at the river, and you should be able to see elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs, and reedbucks all year round. Furthermore, the park is also home to buffalo, zebra,s and wildebeests, which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen every once in a whil,e but cheetahs are rarely spotted. After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park in the late afternoon and head to karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well-representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park, and later evenin,g go back to the lodge/camp

Today, after breakfast, we do early morning game drives in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the possibility of watching a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest as well as hippo pools, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals, and from the top we can look out across the vast grasslands. In the afternoon, enjoy your packed lunch at the picnic site or go back to the same lodge for a hot lunch, followed by relaxation, enjoying sundowners with drinks.

Dawn is a good time to watch wildlife, and so you will be up early to join an early morning game drive. You will return to the camp for breakfast before heading out for another game drive in the park. Here in the In the Seronera region, you will often see wildebeests and zebras in proximity to lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch, you will continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you have reached the crater rim you will enjoy fantastic views of this 600 m deep collapsed volcano. You will stay at the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge, situated on the crater rim.

After an early breakfast, you will drive down the steep and narrow road that takes you into the crater. The slopes are forested, but soon the landscape changes to savannah. Here, the wildlife is just breathtaking and with a little luck you can observe the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – in just a few hours. You should also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a morning dedicated to game viewing and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the late afternoon and drive to karatu, where you will overnight

After breakfast, depart to Lake Manyara Park, which is famous for its tree lions, also known as the home of baboons, giraffes, elephants, hippos, and much more. Enjoy your packed lunch in the park, and later in the afternoon, head out of the park heading toward Arusha airport for your flight to your next destination.
