Whatever your arrival time at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha airport, your Furaha Tours driver-guide will be waiting for you with a warm, welcoming smile. Kick back and relax in your comfortable vehicle as he takes you to your hotel in Arusha, Tanzania’s self-styled ‘safari capital. On your journey to the hotel, you will get a brief impression of this large, bustling, commercial city. Depending on your arrival time, you may have your pre-safari briefing today; if not, it will take place early tomorrow morning. Accommodation will be in Arusha.

ARUSHA- TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha and drive further through the Masai Steppe via Makuyuni Junction and over down to the Tarangire National Park. This is now the fifth largest park, of all parks in Tanzania, and the Tarangire National Park is dotted with amazingly big Baobab trees and the extraordinary large herds of elephants; Tarangire is quite a place not to miss while on your African safari to Tanzania if you are a lover of the jumbos or other general large game. The park is home to many animal species and some rare breeds like the Oryx and hirolas, and some rare bird species. You will stay overnight inside the park.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park and later evening overnight inside in the park.

Today after breakfast we do early morning game drives in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the possibility of watching a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest as well as hippo’s pools, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. We journey from the wide open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals, and from the top we can look out across the vast grasslands. In the afternoon, enjoy your packed lunch at the picnic site or go back to the same tented camp for hot lunch, followed by relaxation, enjoying sundowners with drinks or proceeding with ga ame drive till evening, then drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight. You will spend the night inside the park.

Dawn is a good time to watch wildlife and so you will be up early to join an early morning game drive. You will return to the camp for breakfast before heading out for another game drive in the park. Here in the Seronera region you will often see wildebeests and zebras in close proximity of lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch you will continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you have reached the crater rim you will enjoy fantastic views of this 600 m deep collapsed volcano. You will stay at the lodge situated on the crater rim. Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

After an early breakfast you will drive down the steep and narrow road that takes you into the crater. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah. Here the wildlife is just breath taking and with a little luck you can observe the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – in just a few hours. You should also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a morning dedicated to game viewing and a picnic lunch, you will leave the park and heading to Arusha and transfer to Airport for your flight to next destination.
