The first day is crucial for acclimatization to the higher altitude, so take it easy and stroll around Paro, enjoying the fresh mountain air. If you’re feeling energized, explore Paro’s cultural landmarks, such as the National Museum and Rinpung Dzong, which showcase Bhutan’s rich history and traditions. Embark on a scenic and spiritually uplifting hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest. Begin with a gentle climb through pine forests adorned with Spanish moss and prayer flags, catching glimpses of the monastery perched 900 meters above the valley floor. After a 2-3 hour hike, reach the viewpoint cafeteria and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while taking in the breathtaking views. Continue on to the monastery, exploring its sacred rooms and temples, and learning about its deep spiritual roots and cultural significance. After a fulfilling day, hike back down to Paro, relax, and unwind with a well-deserved dinner, preparing for the next day’s adventure into the high-altitude wilderness of the Chele La area.

Set up camp at Sagala, enjoying a peaceful evening under the stars, with a hearty dinner and warm camaraderie around the campfire.

The scenic trail offers breathtaking panoramas of deep valleys and high mountain ridges, making it a photographer’s paradise. Arrive at Ningula, a tranquil spot with stunning views, and set up camp. Relax and rejuvenate with a delicious dinner, followed by stargazing or a leisurely evening walk, before reflecting on the day’s journey and resting for the next day’s adventure.

Embark on a challenging yet rewarding trek from Ningula to Chele Pass, ascending through diverse ecosystems and scenic landscapes. Gain insight into traditional Bhutanese lifestyle and heritage at the Folk Heritage Museum, and visit the gigantic Buddha Dordenma Statue, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, sampling traditional Bhutanese dishes and international cuisine.
