This Mount Kilimanjaro trekking follows the scenic Machame route, offering some opportunities for game-viewing and bird watching during the early days of the trek. From there, the trail ascends to the Shira plateau, continues through the Grand Barranco Canyon, and ultimately heads to the summit. If all goes well, you'll reach Stella Point at dawn, with the option to continue along Kibo’s rim to the summit at Uhuru Peak. Ready for the challenge? The Machame route is demanding but not technically difficult—no mountaineering experience is required. However, the trek involves steep ascents and high altitudes, so a good level of physical fitness (and a minimum age of 16) is required. Be sure to consult your physician before starting this unforgettable adventure.
