Alleppey covers an area of 1414 sq. kms and spreads around 2195 sq. kms waterfront of the Vembanad Lake, where one can witness the magnificent union of six major rivers which spreads out extensively before joining the 80 kms coast line of the district. The place boasts of a rich cultural history and is well known for its beaches, backwaters and lagoons. In the evening take time out to relax. Overnight Alleppey.

Morning breakfast and 12noon check into the Houseboat. Cruise through the narrow canals Lakes and lagoon. Cruise through Vembanad Lake, four river estuaries and labyrinthine canals, amidst the emerald green tropical vegetation and exotic fauna. Birds, fishes, animals, butterflies, flowers, paddy fields, water lilies, and a lot more add to the charm and magic of the backwaters, all of which can be seen on a cruise voyage through the tranquil waterscape.
You can even stop to visit country side, village market, paddy fields, churches, temples, small scale industries etc. Toddy (local liquor from coconut palms) is easily available. People surrounding the backwaters are very friendly and hospitable. Famous R block and C block (manmade paddy fields made from lake during the ruling of King) where farming is done below sea level can be viewed from houseboat.
In the evening, by sunset the houseboat will be anchored at a unique scenic safe location. You can walk in the paddy fields and meet the local people.
