Annapurna Circuit Trek is considered as an outstanding trek in the world.The impressive scenery,amazing climatic variation, vibrant culture and tradition of this region is indefinable in a true sense.
Opened in 1977 for foreign trekkers,it is now one of the most visited trekking trails. Annapurna Circuit is also a part of Great Himalayan Trail, a trail which joins Nepal from East to West. Annapurna Circuit can be divided in 2 sections- the sub-tropical low land villages of Lamjung and Myagdi as well as high desert land of Manang and Mustang bordering Tibet. Starting from Besisahar, the trek passes along the course of Marshyangdi River and Kali Gandaki River. You will ascend to the highest point of this trek through Thorung La Pass 5,416m (17,769) as well as the deepest George made by Kali Gandaki River. This trek provides rewarding views of Manaslu (8,000-plus meter peak), Langtang Himal, Annapurna II and IV, Annapurna III, Gangapurna and of course, Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri. You will come across numerous villages of people of different races and communities mostly Gurung, Manangi and Thakali people. Moreover, one can get great benefit by reaching to the religiously significant popular places of Muktinath. The recently opened Nar-Pho Valley as well as Tilicho Lake 4,920 m is nearby popular areas to Annapurna Circuit Trek. Annapurna Circuit Trek is a tea house trekking.
