Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

GUWAHATI – NAMERI NATIONAL PARK

On arrival, pickup from the airport and drive to Nameri. The park consists of deciduous forests, hills and the river Jia Bhoroli flows through it. It has over 376 species of birds and also birds of special interest such as the endangered white Winged Wood Duck, four species of Hornbill, Ibis Bill and many more. Evening at leisure. Over night stay at Eco-camp.

Day 2

NAMERI NATIONAL PARK-DIRANG

Early in the morning go for an exclusive River Rafting on Jia Bhorali River (smooth water rafting). After lunch drive to DIRANG (164 kms / 05 hrs). En-route we encounter pine-clad hills. Visit the 9th century fortress and the adjoining village. Check in at your hotel. After lunch, head to the picturesque Sangti Valley, visit the quaint local village and stroll at your leisure.

Day 3

DIRANG - TAWANG

Today we will drive to Tawang (140kms/6hrs). On way experience the beauty of Sella Lake in Sella Pass (13746ft), Jaswant-garh – located 16kms from Sella Pass is a memorial to the brave soldiers who single handedly tried to get hold of the approaching Chinese army during the Chinese aggression in 1962. Evening explore Tawang town.

Day 4

TAWANG

Tawang Monastery

Explore Tawang – Tawang Monastery, Unni-Gompa (Women Monastery), Urrigilling (the birth place of 6th Dalai Lama) and scenic drive to PTsho Lake which is close to the Indo-Chinese border. Evening back to Tawang.

Day 5

TAWANG - BOMDILA

After breakfast, we will drive to Bomdila (181 kms / 07 hrs), en route visit & enjoy beautiful Jang Falls, evening at leisure.

Day 6

BOMDILA – GUWAHATI

Drive to Guwahati post breakfast. Enroute visit the Tippi Orchid Research Center, the premier research centre for orchids in the world and largest of its kind in Asia.

After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport for onward destination.
