Meet and greet at Bagdogra Airport and proceed to Phuentsholing Bhutan border. The road covers approximately 170 km and takes around 5 hours. Early morning after breakfast meet the tourist guide who will assist with permits and issue necessary permits. Proceed to Thimphu, visiting Wankha waterfalls and halting at Chojum Bridge to photograph the confluence of two rivers of Bhutan, Thimphu Chu and Parochu. After breakfast depart Thimphu and proceed to Paro via Simtokha Dzong. The drive is approximately 85 km and around 2 hours. En route halt to see the crystal clear water of River Parochhu and visit Paro International Airport area. Visit Rinpung Dzong also known as Ta Dzong which was once a watchtower and is now the national museum of Bhutan. Visit sites associated with Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the National Museum of Bhutan, Kyichu Lakhang Monastery and traditional dress and handicraft shops. Proceed and night stay at Paro. After breakfast proceed to Paro for Tigernest trekking to Taktsang Monastery, the cliffside monastery. The trek involves ascending approximately 1200 meters on a steep cliff and is a sacred site established by Guru Rinpoche who came to Bhutan in 747 CE; the complex construction was completed in 1694. Discovering Tigernest is an adventurous trek of about 3 hours one way. Guests have the option of a horse ride up to halfway from the parking. Evening leisure for the market and night stay at Paro.
