Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Gangtok

Upon your arrival in NJP railway station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), head straight to Gangtok, which is around 4 to 5 hours away from Siliguri. Once you reach Gangtok, you can spend the evening at leisure.

Day 2

Explore Lachen

After a delectable breakfast, start your journey to Lachen. Enroute, visit Singhik Viewpoint, Seven Sisters Waterfall and Naga Waterfall. Once you reach Lachen in the evening, take rest for a while. Enjoy your dinner at the hotel and stay overnight in Lachung.

Day 3

Lachung - Yumthang Valley Excursion - Gangtok

After the breakfast, proceed to Yumthang Valley, the Valley of Flowers, which is located at an elevation of 11,800 feet. On the way back, visit Hot Spring, a natural spring which is considered to have medicinal properties. Later, return to the resort and stay overnight in Gangtok.

Day 4

Excursion to Changu Lake and New Baba Mandir

Around 7:30 to 8:30 am, after the breakfast, begin your excursion to Changu Lake (12,400 ft.) and New Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.), which are 55 km away from Gangtok city. Changu Lake is situated at an altitude of 12,000 feet on the Gangtok-Nathu La Highway. Home to plenty of Brahminy ducks, this lake is considered sacred by the local people. This placid lake remains frozen during the winter months up to mid-May. Later, you can take an optional tour to Nathu La Pass, which is nearly 20 kilometres further from Changu Lake. You need to take prior permission to visit Nathu La Pass and extra cost will be charged for extended tour to Nathu La. In the evening, you can roam around M G Road (Mall) or do local shopping in Gangtok.

Day 5

From Gangtok to Darjeeling

After a delectable breakfast, embark on a 4-hour trip to Darjeeling. You can spend the evening at leisure.

Day 6

Explore Darjeeling

In the early morning, take a tour to Tiger Hills and witness the morning sunrise view over Kangchenjunga Peak at around 4 AM, if the weather permits. On your way back, visit Batasia Loop and Ghum Monastery. After breakfast, take a tour around the city of Darjeeling. You can visit Padmaja Naidu Himalaya Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. Also, pay a visit to Tea Garden, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda and Ropeway.

Day 7

Bid Adieu!

On the last day of your trip, drive to NJP railway station or Bagdogra Airport for your return journey.
