 Bhitarkanika, the land of mangroves, meaning estuarine crocodiles and marine turtles. It is one of the major tourists destinations in the coastal region of state of Orissa. Endowed with nature Bhitarkanika represents one of the finest creations ever. The wetland is represented by as many as 3 protected areas namely, Bhitarkanika National Park, Bhitarkanika Sanctuary, and Gahirmath (mairne) Wildlife sanctuary. Our of 72 species of mangroves identified the world over, and 63 species are found in Bhitarkanika.
You will enjoy the flora and fauna of forest, wild life of water moniter, Lizard, Phyton, Crocodile, Sea turles, wild bore, fishing cats, Hyena, Mongoose, other Irrawadi Dolphins and Bottle Nose Dolphins.
You will also visit historic Shooting Tower, Ancient Shiva Temple, Dangmol, Ekakula Beach, Kalibhanjadia Island and Lotus Pond.
Departure from Howrah station at night.
Arrival at Bhadrak; transportation by non ac vehicle/bus to Chandbali, boarding onto launch; Safari starts; Arrival at Dangmol night halt at Dangmol Forest Rest House.
