On this Stretch Waste Water and Sewage is Dumped in It from 18 Big Drains.
It Makes the Yamuna One of the Most Polluted Rivers of India.
$500 Million Dollars have Been Spent On Cleaning Up the River Over the Years (yamuna Action Plan) Without Any Result.
To Hindus the Yamuna is a Goddess.
About Nigambodh Ghat:

largest and Busiest Cremation Ground in Delhi.

head Always Points South, the Direction of Death.
According to Legend the Ghat Belongs to the Period of Mahabharata. It Was On this Ghat that Lord Brahma is Said to have Bathed and Recovered His Lost Memory. Thus the Name: Nigambodh Ghat = Realization of Knowledge.
