Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Road journey from Rishikesh to Waan. Overnight stay at Waan. (Drive/ 295 km 10-12 hrs)

The exhilarating Brahmatal trek starts from the base camp at Waan. Waan is around 10-12 hours away from Rishikesh. Thus, in order to reach the proposed destination on time, reach Rishikesh as early as 7 am. Drive from Rishikesh to Waan is a beautiful one as many locations like Devpryag, Dhari Devi, Rudrapryag, karanpryag and Deval. You can stay at home stay or lodge.

Day 2

FromWaan to Bekaltal (Altitude: 2,320 m to 3,010 m, 6 Km walk.

Trekking from Waan begins on a well-marked stone trail. The upper regions of Waan are dominated by forest surroundings that have few houses lined up in a row. As you will pass it, climb higher and reach Kail valley. This beautiful valley is a result of the confluence of Pindari and Kail rivers. Coming next is Budla, which have an alignment of rhododendron trees built all around the homes.
On climbing close to 2590 meters, a 10 meter bridge, known as Linkgaad would be coming your way. After that, you will reach Begum. It is highly advised you make a stoppage at Begum for some time. From here, you can enjoy the scenic beauty of Navali Bugyal. As your tiredness gets worn off, start with the trekking again. After walking for 10-15 minutes, you will come across another stream. Then after an hour walk, you will reach Gujrani stream.
Best part of the trekking will come while heading to Bekaltal. Trek route to Bekaltal is a beautiful one and takes close to 70 minutes to complete it. It is filled with thick oak forests and has a frozen lake that looks highly breathtaking. On reaching Beakaltal, you would be camping near Khopdaliya.

Day 3

Bekaltal to Khabekhal (3,010 m to 3,273 m, 2.5 km walk)

At such an altitude, snowfall is highly expected. If that happens, it will take around 3-4 hours to reach the tranquil Brahmatal. Feel free to continue your trekking or camp at Khabekhal. Overnight stay at camp.

Day 4

Khabekhal to Daldum via Brahmatal Peak (3,846 m, 5 km walk)

Day 4 will bring you back on the trek route to Brahmatal. After walking for an hour, the route will take you to Chota Jhandidar. Then comes the Bada Jhandidar. The route surpassing both of these destinations has breathtaking valleys on its sides. You will be pleased by the sight of the mighty Mt. Nandaghunti and Trishul on your route. After walking for another few hours (2.5 to 3 hours), you will be at Brahmatal Lake. From the peak of Brahmatal, your camp site (Daldum) is around 3 hours away. Route to the campsite passes through forests. Overnight stay at camp.

Day 5

From Daldum to Waan (8.7 Km walk)

After relaxing the whole night, leave the camp site for your return journey to Waan (8.7 Km). As you will done with half an hour walking, you will reach Malling. There would be few houses on the slopes. Follow the stone trails and you will reach Waan. Overnight stay at guest house.

Day 6

From Waan to Rishikesh.

Post breakfast, guests would be driven to Rishikesh. From there, catch the next train for your onward journey back home.

Advisory
• This package has two variation. The one with transport includes a pick and drop from Rishikesh toWaan Village and then back to Rishikesh , Waan is the start point of the trek. The one without transport, Trekker have to reach Waan on his own.
• Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
• Pay heed to the trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.
• Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the trek.
• Avoid trekking during the nights.
• Before undertaking the trek, consult a physician.
• Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
• The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.
• This trip has two variants with transport and without transport. Cancellation Policy
• If cancellations are made 15 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made 05 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made within 0-5 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
• In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.
IMPORTANT: A minimum group size of 5 pax is required to make a
booking.(Extra porter will be charged extra.)
