This 2-night 3 days trip starts from Rishikesh where you’re moving to Saari from. Deoria tal is a lake situated at 7999ft of altitude and just a 3 km trek from Sari village in Rudraprayag district of Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India. It offers you a panoramic view of Himalayas.

The Chaukhamba, Nilkanth, Bandarpoonch, Kalang and Kedar ranges are viewed from here. One can feel the divinity of these snow covered mighty mountains while seeing reflection in that clean water of the lake. This lake is believed to be the same place where Yaksha asked questions to Pandavas in Mahabharat times and it’s also called Indra Sarovar. Next destination is Chopta though a dense forest where you’re most likely to encounter different species of birds.

This place has always been a favorite destination to the bird watchers. Also, this is a sanctuary of Musk Deer. Then at 4km walk the highest Shiva temple Tungnath welcomes you to see the love and faith of believers which inspired them to construct a temple at 12073ft of altitude. Another 4km walk will allow you to witness that magnificent panoramic view of Himalayas.

It’s recommended to be at Chandrashila before sunrise as seeing the Dawn here is something you’re gonna be keeping with your those few mesmerizing memories.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Rishikesh to Sari village

You will move from Rishikesh to Sari village, then a 3km trek to deoriatal. you’ll be staying in your camps in night. Lake is just 200 meters from your camps so you can take a majestic night view of Himalayas and the Tal itself.

Day 2

Chopta

it’s a long trek waiting for you on your 2nd day, a 14km trek which’s gonna take you Chopta though beautiful forests, meadows and streams, here you may encounter a lot of different species of birds. You’ll find your ready rooms in Home stays as your reach.

Day 3

Tungnath->Chandrashila-> Chopta-> Rishikesh.

You’re going to summit Tungnath this day, and you can extend your trek to Chandrashila top so, if you are planing to summit Chandrashila, it’s advised that you reach there before sun rise, you’re going to witness a most beautiful dawn you’ve ever seen. After staying there for a while you’ll be descending to Chopta where your pick up is ready to take you back to Rishikesh.
