This trekoffers varied experiences as we walk through the dense Oak and Rhododendron forest for most part of the trek but the trek also offers the trekkers with an opportunity to walk on snow covered meadows along with camping next to Bekal Tal. The surroundings of the high altitude Brahmatal lake is serene and on a clear day one can see the perfect reflection of mountains in it. The trek also offers majestic views of Mt. Nandagunti and Mt. Trishul from the highest point on the trek and a panoramic view of other Himalayan peaks. Add to it he fact that this is a fairly easy trail with most part of the trek in the treeline in a gradual ascend which makes it accessible for beginners by reducing the chances of altitude sickness and you can select this to be your first adventure in the Himalayas. Two beautiful lakes, thick Oak and Rhododendron forest and majestic mountain views from the top is a recipe to make it a perfect winter trek in Garhwal Himalayas.
Dehradun/Haridwar to Lohajung
The journey starts from Delhi to Dehradun. Joshimath is around 288 km away from Dehradun and takes approximately 8 hours to reach. Route -We make our way through Doiwala, Rishikesh,Shivpuri Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, before reaching Joshinmath the following day. Most part of the journey traverses the mountainside, with the river flowing below you. (Don’t forget to take pictures at the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers at Devprayag)

ARRIVAL AT JOSHIMATH
Long journeys can be exhausting for some, hence this fairly early arrival gives you time to relax and rejuvenate, and for those not too tired from the journey it is a picturesque location, an eye candy for the shutterbugs. You can go around the market and explore the cute little shops around, famous sightseeing points – Kalpavriksha, Narsingh Temple, Shankarcharya Math. Early to bed and early to rise is definitely what we prefer. We advise our travellers to get proper rest before we get up, close, and personal with Auli also known famously as the winter adventure capital of India the following day

JOSHIMATH –AULI | AULI TOUR, SKIING, CHAIRLIFT, ROPEWAY
Wake up and hop in the vehicle, in 20 mins we will reach and begin with the much-awaited Auli tour. Get ready for adventurous activities including Skiing, cable car, gondola rides, Artificial Lake and so much more. Post spending the day at Auli later in the evening head back to Joshimath to retire for the day.
