Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Delhi - Rishikesh (230 kms / 06-07 hrs)

    Upon arrival in Delhi meeting and assistance followed drive to Rishikesh by road, take lunch En-route on arrival at Rishikesh check-in at hotel, evening free for relax & briefing. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

    Rishikesh: 24 Kms. from Hardwar. Located in the laps of lower Himalayas, and is surrounded by scenic beauty of the hills on three sides with Holy Ganga flowing through it. The whole place is considered to be sacred as it is believed that meditation at this place leads to attainment of salvation. There are many temples-some ancient, some new along the river Ganges. Rishikesh is important not only as pilgrimage centre closely associated with the Ramayana, but also as home for many important centers of Hindu religious thought and spirituality, and as a very great Yoga Centre. There are many ashrams and Yoga institutes here. Rishikesh is also the gateway and the start-off point for journeys to important religious places like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.

  • Day 2 : Rishikesh - Barkot (170 kms / 07-08 hrs)

    After breakfast go for local S/seen Visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula & Swargaashram take early Lunch at hotel & drive to Barkot Via Mussoorie En- route visit Kempty fall, reach Barkot by late evening. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 3 : Barkot - Jankichatti - Yamunotri - Jankichatti / Barkot (50 kms/ & 6 kms. trek)

    After an early breakfast proceed to Yamunotri drive up to Jankichatti then 6 kms Trek (One way) to Yamunotri, here one can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the Hot Kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking bath in Jamunabai Kund and having "Darshan" of "Yamunaji". Later return to Jankichatti take hot lunch, Deluxe Package stay at Jankichatti & Regular Package drive back to Barkot. Dinner & overnight stay at respective hotel.

    Yamunotri: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again. Yamunotri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Yamunotri is the source of revered river Yamuna which originates from the Champasar Glacier lying 1 km ahead of the shrine situated at an elevation of 3235 mts above sea level. The approach is extremely difficult and pilgrims therefore offer Pooja at the temple itself. Yamunotri was the home of an ancient sage Asit Muni. Yamuna is the daughter of the Sun just like Yama who is considered his son. It is believed that Yama would not torment any person at the time of death who takes a holy dip in Yamuna, his sister.

    Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.

    Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshiped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

  • Day 4 : Barkot - Uttarkashi / Harsil (100 Kms /170 Kms.)

    After breakfast drive 100 kms to Reach Uttarkashi followed by lunch Deluxe Package further drive to Harsil & Regular Package stay at Uttarkashi, evening free for leisure & local attractions. Dinner & overnight stay at Uttarkashi /Harsil.

    Uttarkashi - Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated between two rivers; Varuna and Ashi, whose water flow into the Bhagirathi from either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 meters, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of temples and ghats and likewise, a north or 'uttar' facing river. The major temple is the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Two other very important temples are located in the Chowk area. These are the Annapurna Temple and the Bhairav Temple. It is said, that once there were 365 temples here. Hiuen Tsang referred to this place as Brahma Puran, while the Skanda Puran has recorded it as Varunavata. It is believed that in the second millennium of Kaliyug, Kashi will be submerged, and Uttarkashi will replace it as an important religious centre.

  • Day 5 : Harsil /Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (90 kms / 22 Kms.)

    After breakfast leave for Gangotri early in the morning. Post offering prayers, pooja & Darshan at Gangotri Temple, later drive back to Uttarkashi En-route lunch at Harsil. Dinner & overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

    Gangotri: Gangotri Temple is 18th Century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga. It is located near a sacred stone where king Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. Accordingly to another legend, Pandavas performed the great "Deva Yagna" here to a tone the death of their kinsmen in the epic battle of Mahabharata. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite.

  • Day 6 : Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (235 Kms. Drive 09 - 10 Hrs)

    After Early breakfast leave for almost day long drive to Guptkashi. Take en-route lunch at Chamba.On the way see the heritage city of Tehri Submerged in to the Mighty waters of Holy River Ganges, due to the construction of Tehri Dam (The Hydro Electric Project) reach Guptkashi by late evening. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

    Guptakashi: is located in the Northern Himalayan belt within the Mandakini River valley, which has lush green forests. A number of streams and rivulets drain into the main Mandakini River. It has salubrious climate with its elevation being around 1,319 meters (4,330 ft). The snow sparkling view of the Chaukhamba peak is a lovely sight to behold in the morning hours from here. The valley has large magnolia trees (locally called Champa) that provide a sweet scented atmosphere to the place. Kashi Vishwanath Temple & Ardh Narishwar Temple is Attraction point.

  • Day 7 : Guptakashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath (37 Kms Drive, 14 Kms. trek)

    After early breakfast leave by vehicle for Gaurikund. On arrival start your journey on the trek ahead to Kedarnath reach kedarnath by late Afternoon check in to guest house. After freshen up take lunch, in the evening perform Pooja & Darshan at Kedarnath Temple. Dinner& overnight stay at Guest house.

    Kedarnath Temple: The present temple built in 8th Century A.D. by Adi Guru Shankaracharya lies adjacent to the site of an ancient temple built by Pandavas. The temple has a conical lingam - the main idol, a statue of Nandi - the celestial bull, a 'Garba Grah' for worship and a man dap for assemblies of pilgrims and visitors. The temple is more than 1000 years old.

    Shankaracharya Samadhi: The Samadhi of Adi Guru Shankaracharya is located just behind the Kedarnath temple. It is said that after establishing four sacred Dhams in India, he went into his Samadhi at an early age of 32 years.

    Bhaironath Temple: About half a kilometre away from Kedarnathji, a small temple is dedicated to Bhaironath. It is worshipped on the opening and closing day of Sri Kedarnath Shrine. It is believed that when Kedarnathji Temple is closed, Bhaironathji protects this land from evil.

  • Day 8 : Kedarnath - Gaurikund - Pipalkoti (14 kms trek / 164 kms Drive)

    Early Morning Rudra Abhishek Pooja and Darshan at the Temple, start trek down to Gaurikund, on arrival meet with driver and leave for Pipalkoti, en-route lunch at Guptkashi, on arrival Pipalkoti check in at hotel. Dinner & overnight stay.

  • Day 9 : Pipalkoti - Badrinath (80 kms / 03-04 hrs)

    After Breakfast leave for Badrinath En-route visit Narsingh Temple, and Adi Sankracharya Samadhi at Joshimath, then drive to Badrinath On arrival check in to hotel, after lunch spend some time visiting Vyas Cave, Ganesh Cave, Bhim Bridge & origin of River Saraswati at Mana village the last village before the Tibetan border, later go to temple for holy Darshan / Pooja & attend evening Arti. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

    Badrinath: Cradled in the twin Mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan is the holiest of the four main shrines - Badrinath along the left bank of river Alaknanda with the towering Neelkantha Peaks as the splendid backdrop. Once the spot was carpeted with 'badris' or wild berries and hence was famous as Badrivan. Legend has it, when the Ganga was requested to descend to earth to help suffering humanity; the earth was enable to withstand the force of its decent. Therefore the mighty Ganga was split into 12 holy channels. Alaknanda was one of them that later became the abode of Lord Vishnu or Badrinath.

    Narad Kund: A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.

    Brahama Kapal: It is a flat platform a few yards north of the temple and on the bank of River Alaknanda. It is an important place for shhradh ceremony or offering of pinds to ensure a heavenly place for dead ancestors or manes. It is said that offering pind here, the manes are permanently enshrined in heaven and no more pinds are to be done elsewhere ever afterwards. Legends have it that when Shiva chopped of the fifth head of Brahma, it got stuck to his trident. Lastly with the blessing of Lord Vishnu at Badrivan, the head of Brahma fell down from the trident at this place & hence the name Brahma-Kapal (head).

    Sheshnetra: It is a large block of stone between tow small seasonal lakes carrying an eye of "Sheshnag" The eye formation is quite natural, 1.5kms. away is a boulder having an impression of the legendary serpent, better known as the Sheshnag's eye, it is believed that the sheshnag waits at this place patiently to accompany the lord on his reincarnation.

    Mana Village: Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet. The women of the village offer Choli to the deity on closing day of the temple each year.

    Bhim Pul: On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge lies over the roaring Saraswati River. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.

    Vyas Gufa (Cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.

  • Day 10 : Badrinath - Srinagar (190 kms/07-08hrs)

    Early Morning Mahaabhishek Pooja / Darshan, breakfast then drive to Srinagar en- route visiting Vishnuprayag, Kamprayag, Nandprayag & Rudraprayag. On the way lunch at Pipalkoti, later drive to Srinagar Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

    Vishnuprayag: Confluences Dhauli Ganga & Alaknanda River.
    Karanprayag: Confluence of river Pindari and river Alaknanda.
    Nandprayag: Confluence of river Nandakini and Alaknanda River.

  • Day 11 : Srinagar - Haridwar (125 kms / 05 -06hrs)

    After breakfast drive for Haridwar en-route visiting Deoprayag, (The Confluence of river Alaknanada & Bhagirathi) to become Ganga. Reach Haridwar in the afternoon, check in to hotel after lunch, and visit Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi Temples & Evening attend Famous Ganga Arti at Har ki Pauri. Overnight stay at Hotel.

    Haridwar: Haridwar, lying at the feet of Shiva's hills, i.e., Shivaliks, in the Haridwar district of Uttaranchal Pradesh, is a doorway. Suryavanshi prince Bhagirath performed penance here to salvage the souls of his ancestors who had perished due to the curse of sage Kapila. The penance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth forms Lord Shiva's locks and its bountiful water revived the sixty thousand sons of king Sagara. In the traditional of Bhagirath, devout Hindus stand in the sacred waters here, praying for salvation of their departed elder. It is doorway to the sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna, 3000 to 4500 meters up into the snowy ranges of the central Himalayas. The 'Aarti' worship of the Ganga after sunset and the floating 'dia' (lamp) is a moving ritual.

  • Day 12 : Haridwar - Delhi (200 kms /06- 07 hrs)

    After breakfast, leave for Delhi, take Lunch En-route, on arrival in Delhi, Drop you at Railway station for onward journey.

Bus Seat numbers are allotted on first cum first serve basis only.

In case of odd number groups, the extra person shall be accommodated in the same room with an extra bed / mattress.
Tour Company reserves the right to publish the passenger's photograph or group photograph which taken during the tour if wishes so.
Type of transport vehicle can be changed in case short of passengers or low turnout of tourist, our intention is not to disappoint tourist or cancellation of tour.
To make a booking a non refundable deposit of Rs.3000/ is required .once this has been received confirmation of your booking (in form of an invoice) will be sent to you .The balance amount must be paid 20 days prior to the departure date of tours. Otherwise we may treat the booking as being cancelled by you.
All the payments made by Cheque or Demand Draft should be in favor of "HindustanTravels".
The price quoted in our brochure has been calculated at the rate prevailing at the time of printing this brochure. The company reserves the right to amend the prices published in the brochure.
The customer has to bear the proportionate tour cost of extended stay or travelling due to extraneous circumstances.
In unavoidable circumstances proposed hotels may be changed and that shall be acceptable by the Guest.
