Chopta, situated on the Gopeshwar-Ukhimath road, is nestled at an altitude of 2900mts above from the sea level. Rich in flora and fauna, this enchanting route covers a whole illustration of the magnificent panoramas. The Chandrashila Trek can be done all through the year except the months of December and January, when the Garhwal Himalayas are covered with heavy snow. The summit of Chandrashila, a rock face above the Tungnath temple, offers a beautiful sight of Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, Trishul and Chaukhamba peaks. The hike is short but arduous after Tungnath, the highest temple in the Himalayas.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Haridwar - Ukhimath

Devprayag

Welcome to Trek Destinations! Pick up from Haridwar transfer to Ukhimath via Rishikesh, Devprayag (Confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi, from Devprayag the Holy river Ganges started), Rudraprayag (Confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini River). Breakfast and lunch enroute. Arrival at Ukhimath by evening. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 Ukhimath – Deoriatal

In the morning you can see snow capped Himalayan ranges. After breakfast start your trek to Deoriatal through dense forest of Rhodendron and lots of wild flowers and ferns. The trek will take 3- 4 hrs to reach Deoriatal. Upon arrival at Deoriatal set out the tents for overnight stay.

Day 3 Deoriatal – Sari - Chopta

In the morning trek down to Sari village (3 kms) and from here drive to Chopta through dense forest and meadows. Its 30 kms drive from Sari Village. Upon arrival at Chopta set out your tents for overnight stay. In the evening explore the magnificent view of the Himalayas.

Day 4 Chopta – Tungnath ( 3680m ) – Chandrashilla ( 4090m ) - Chopta

After an early breakfast trek to Tungnath with packed lunch. Tungnath is situated at the height of 3680 mts from the sea level the highest in India. The trek is three kms upward. Enroute you will find lush green meadows and you can see the entire range of snow capped Himalayas. Upon arrival at Tungnath Temple and visit the temple. After relax one further one kms trek to Chandrasila peak. Later trek back to Chopta for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 Chopta - Haridwar

After an early breakfast drive to Haridwar. Breakfast & Lunch enroute. Upon arrival at Haridwar transfer to railway station.

Inclusions

Accommodation: While on trek we will provide you Dome/Alpine trekking tents, Kitchen tent, dining tent, toilet tent, Camping mattresses, camping stool, table etc would be provided.
Transport: Pick Up from Haridwar to trek point and back.
Meals: while on trek all meal will be provided. All meals will be freshly prepared and will be a mix of Indian, Chinese & Continental.
Porters: For carrying camping equipment, rations, vegetables and some amount of personal gear of the clients (one bag not weighing more than 15 kgs).
Professional & Experienced English speaking local expedition guide who know the area and route very well and already done this trek many times.
Master Chef for cooking fresh meal & Kitchen helper would accompany the group.
All Entry & permit fees of the trek.
Fuel Charges, All state & toll taxes, Driver Allowances.

Cancellation & Refund Policy :

* Upon cancellation, refund will be made after deducting the Retention Amount.
