Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Guwahati - Shillong (100 km/3 hours)

Start your Guwahati Shillong Cherrapunji tour when you arrive at the Guwahati station/airport. Our executive will welcome you and take you straight to Shillong. On the way, drop by Barapani Lake, the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya. Also known as the Umiam Lake, it is beautifully surrounded by Sylvan hills. On reaching Shillong, check in at the hotel, spend the rest of the day at leisure and later retire for the night.

Day 2

Shillong - Cherrapunji - Shillong (54 km/2 hours, one way)

Shillong Peak

On the 2nd of your Guwahati Shillong tour, you will visit Cherrapunji. So in the morning, after breakfast, begin the excursion towards the wettest place on Earth, Cherrapunji. It is at a distance of 60 km and has various waterfalls, limestone caves, striking root bridges, and other natural sites to provide several activities.
Visit the Spectacular Seven Sisters Falls, the Mawsmai Cave, and the Thangkharang Park. In the evening, return to Shillong. Your Shillong tour package for family includes a stopover en route at the Elephanta Falls and the famous Shillong Peak, it allows a great view. Later, return to the hotel and stay overnight at the Shillong hotel.

Day 3

Shillong – Mawlynnong - Shillong (78 km/3 hours, one way)

Start the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Later, proceed for a day excursion to Mawlynnong. This village is named as the cleanest village in Asia. Here, pay a visit to Jingmaham Living Root Bridge. Then, walk around the charming Mawlynnong Village and stop at the beautiful waterfalls.
Next, proceed for a visit to Dawki, 34 km from Mawlynnong Village. The small border town in the Jaintia Hills is known for the picturesque Umngot River, a must-visit site in Meghalaya. Enjoy the scenic beauty and a boat ride in the crystal clear waters where you can feel like floating in the air as the water is so clear. Explore the nearby sights too.
After sightseeing, leave for Shillong. On arrival, check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4

Shillong - Guwahati (100 km/3 hours)

Post breakfast, head for the half-day excursion trip to Shillong. Visit a Japanese-style Lady Hydari Park, decorated with roses and other flowers in a large stretch. Later, proceed towards Guwahati. On reaching, check-in at the hotel and later, go out for a visit to the Kalakshetra, a spot where they exhibit a light and sound show displaying Assamese culture and history. You can even opt for an evening cruise on the Brahmaputra. Finally, return to the hotel and spend the night.

Day 5

Guwahati City Tour

Post breakfast proceed to visit Kamakhya Temple, Ganesh temple, Tirupati Balaji temple, Sukreswar Temple and the Basistha temple, Assam State Museum, Assam State Zoo, Fancy Bazaar.

Day 6

Depart Guwahati

All correspondence(s) in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to M/s. Sri Balaji Tours & Travels
Payments:
For all the services contracted, certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid either before your departure from your country or upon arrival in INDIA but definitely before the commencement of the services. Management personnels hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service.
Apart from above in some cases like Special Train Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year), full payment is required to be sent in advance.
Mode of Payment: Overseas advance payment can be made through Wire Transfer to our bank.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing.
Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:
Cancellation charge of rupees 3000 per person is applicable any time after the
booking is confirmed.
No refund, if cancellation received less than 15 days before arrival.
50% of the total package amount is applicable, if cancellation received between 15 -
20 days before arrival.
25% of the total package amount is applicable, if cancellation received between 21 -
30 days before arrival.
During COVID reschedule will be on sole discretion of the management and it will be
decided on case to case basis. However, Sri Balaji Tours & Travels will certainly try to
reschedule without any extra charges.
In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain
activities may be cancelled and in such cases the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.
Note: Written cancellation will accept on all working days, except Sunday, Any cancellation sent on Sunday's will be considered on next working day (Monday).
For the X-mas and new year period from 20 Dec to 05 Jan the payment is non-refundable.
In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
SOME CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES ARE OUT OF OUR TENDER:
Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy.
Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy.
Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airlines company policy.
Wildlife Safaris cancellation:
All the wildlife safaris booked into any of Indian Wildlife National Park/Sanctuaries are non refundable. Even date change request will be considered as cancellation and no payment will be refunded/ adjusted against it.
Our Liabilities & Limitations:
Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments / museums, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges – by Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.
Sri Balaji Tours & Travels act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.
All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants' safety, comfort & general well being.
Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and check out time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.
We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment's, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage's & personal property/s at all times are at the client's risk.
Please Note : We will not be responsible for any costs arising out of unforeseen circumstances like landslides, road blocks, bad weather, etc.

Cancellation & Refund Policy :

* Upon cancellation, refund will be made after deducting the Retention Amount.
* Retention Amount varies as per the number of days left before your package start date.
* Refund will be made within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the cancellation.

My trip to #Singapore was beyond wonderful. It was made possible by Sri Balaji Tours and Travels! The best part post-covid the issuance of VISA was done so smoothly that too in a very short span of time. Most of the travel agencies including the top 10 of the best travel agencies in India denied me for the first week of April due to issues with my VISA. As I was traveling solo for my first international tour, the selection of hotel was done according to my need and convenience near the Buggis which had four MRT stations nearby. The Hotel IBIS Bencoolen had a complimentary breakfast with Indian cuisine too. A pick-up and drop facility from the airport was provided. Even the Sri Balaji Tours and Travels were kind enough to book the Flight Tickets with window seats in advance with Meals through their Corporate booking Coupons. All the bills were provided with GST. Professional behavior.
