Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base Camp Trek, commonly referred to as the "standard route to see Mount Everest," is a fascinating journey that is one of the most popular trekking routes in Nepal and the ultimate destination for hikers who seek adventures in the Himalayas. At 8,848 meters above sea level, Mt. Everest, also known as "The Sagarmatha" natively, is the highest peak on Earth. Many of us would like to take in the breathtaking sunrise and sunset views of Nepal's tallest mountains. Around 35,000 people visit Everest Base Camp each year, and some 1000 come to climb Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world.

Along with the Himalayas' grandeur, this region has numerous other natural treasures that are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This adventure is absolutely exceptional and unforgettable since it is rich in pine forests, rhododendron and endangered bird and animal species. You will experience Buddhist tradition and culture, warm, affable, and endearing people with their traditional way of life, and get a glimpse of snow-capped snowy peaks while on Everest Base Camp Treks. This trip brings you to both the actual base camp location, underneath the cascading Khumbu Icefall as well as the well-known Everest viewpoint of Kala Patthar (5,545m).

Trek to Everest Base Camp season, is on the go with Skyline Treks & Expedition and enjoy the most thrilling moments in your life. Join us as we go on this mystical and wonderful journey. Although difficult, this challenge would be fresh and beautiful. We assure you that it is our responsibility to make your journey memorable for a lifetime!.

Everest Base Camp Trek Route
The path that leads to the Everest Base Camp features a variety of terrains, towering suspension bridges, pleasant riverbanks and picturesque mountain views.
The 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is where the Everest Base Camp trekking package begins. Lukla is famed for its stunning aerial vistas. You will also visit Phakding; the valley of Dudh Koshi river, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Gorakshep, EBC and Kala Patthar throughout the journey.

One of the officials from the Skyline Treks will give you a briefing on the Everest base camp trek itinerary on your first day arrival at Kathmandu. You will catch an early flight to Lukla the next day and start your walk to Phakding through lovely villages after you arrive at Lukla Airport. Namche Bazar is the following destination. The journey from Phakding to Namche Bazaar is primarily uphill and might be difficult. You will spend a day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization to Syangboche (Everest view).
The next day, after a delicious breakfast in Namche Bazaar, you will hike for five to six hours to get to Tengboche Monastery. You will cross meandering routes with picturesque views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku throughout the first phase of the trek. You will be arranged a night’s stay in a nearby teahouse at Tengboche.

The next morning, you will continue your trek to Dingboche after breakfast. With spectacular landscapes along the journey, the trail is primarily a downhill stroll. You will have a rest day at Dingboche after which the trek to Lobuche begins the next morning. We will pause along the way of your trip at scenic sites so you can soak in the appealing beauty of the mountains.
Gorakshep will be another stop before continuing your trek to Everest Base Camp and back. The Everest Base Camp height is 5364m. You can also hike from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar early in the morning for the best panoramic sunrise view, the highest climbing attraction in the Everest region. We travel a considerably long way to reach Lukla after Gorakshep. The trek is concluded by a return flight back to Kathmandu.

Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Departure to Lukla Airport (2,860m/9,383ft.) and trek to Phakding (2,610m) (Duration- 3 Hours)

You will be boarding an early flight from Kathmandu to Lukla on this particular day. Your guide will transport you to the domestic terminal. These flights are arranged during the morning in order to make sure that you can land because Lukla's weather can become quite windy and unreliable in the late afternoon. The flight, which lasts about 35 minutes, is incredibly exciting. You will get breathtaking views of the highlands and the snow-capped Himalayas on a fine day. When you arrive at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport, you will meet the porters and Sherpas who will accompany you on the trip. The trek starts with a pleasant walk through the alpine woods next to the Dudh Koshi River. Your first view of the Himalayas, including a distant vista of Mount Khumbila, will be the moment you reach Cheplung village. The calming melody of the Dudh Koshi River will complement your journey as you travel with mules and other trekkers. Phakding is the intended destination for dinner before bed.

Traveler’s note: Since it's important to put your safety first, we recommend all our guests traveling to Lukla to book an extra day of vacation time in case their flights are delayed by adverse weather.
