Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Pathankot to Dalhousie (84 km, 2.5 hours drive)

Our representative/drive will meet you at the pick-up point in the morning. Given the distance between the two places, you will arrive at your resort by afternoon.

Check in and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. If you feel like heading out, we urge you to go on a nature walk and explore the nearby areas.

Day 2

Sightseeing in Dalhousie

Have a warm and hearty breakfast at the resort. Afterwards, proceed for some sightseeing of this beautiful hill station.

You can start with Khajjiar – Mini Switzerland of India. Renowned for its lush green deodar trees, this place is nothing less than a haven for nature enthusiasts. Adding to the beauty of the place is the Khajjiar Lake right in the middle. As it is located at a distance of around 22 km from Dalhousie, we suggest you visit this place in the first half of the day.

Return to Dalhousie and you can spend the rest of the day exploring popular attractions of this place like the Panchpula Waterfall or the St. Francis Catholic Church.

Day 3

Dalhousie to Dharamshala (120 km, Approx. 3.5 hours drive )

In the morning, after breakfast, proceed for Dharamsala. Check in to the resort and spend the rest of the day unwinding from the travel fatigue.

You may even head out for an exploration of Dharamshala. Start your tour of this city with the Kangra Fort. A dilapidated yet beautiful fort, this one is ideal for spending a couple of hours.

Dharamshala also has a cricket stadium which is renowned for being built on the highest ground. You can visit this stadium as well.

Return to the resort at night and have a sumptuous dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4

Explore Mcleodganj (Or optional for the Triund Trek)

Triund

Wake up to a warm and filling breakfast. Today, you may stay back at the resort/hotel or visit the immensely popular and beautiful hill station, located above Dharamshala – Mcleodganj.

A treat for nature enthusiasts, this is famous for the Dalai Lama Temple, a beautiful church, its lakes and waterfalls. The Bhagsunaag waterfall is also the starting point of the Triund trek. If adventure is what you seek, the Triund trek is a must for you. The Triund skyline is one of the most picturesque sites in the evening.

Return to the resort by night and spend some time gazing at the clear starry sky.

Day 5

Dharamshala to Amritsar

Golden Temple

In the morning after breakfast, leave for Amritsar. Check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, visit the magnificent Golden Temple. Have the langar here if you wish to or head out and explore the Hall Bazaar nearby. The Jallianwala Bagh is also located close to the Golden Temple. This place has the bullet marks from the massacre of 1919. The museum inside the complex has ashes of some of the freedom fighters in an urn. There are other historical artefacts and pieces of information as well.

Return to the resort after a full-day exploration.

Day 6

Amritsar railway station / airport

Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast. Afterwards, prepare to check out from the resort and leave for Amritsar railway station / airport.
