Excursion to Mawsynram.Mawsynram is a village in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya state in north-eastern,65 kilometres from Shillong.It is reportedly the wettest place on Earth,with an average annual rainfall of 11,872 millimetres(467.4).Located in Mawsynram,is a cave named Mawjymbuin,known for its Inside this cave is a pair of notable- breast-shaped stalactite over a massive stalagmite.The area is known for its many caves,commercialised and non-commercialised, which contain remnants of a past that tells us of the history of the plateau that was once present.

Shillong local sightseeing covering Donboscho Church & Museum and transfer to Kaziranga.Kaziranga National Park lies northeast of Guwahati on the swampy banks of the Brahmaputra river.The 430 sq km park is famous as the last major home of the great one-horned rhino.After the sanctuary was declared a national park the rhino population grew and is presently around 1200.The park also has numerous wild buffalo,sambar,swamp deer,wild boar,elephants and a wide variety of shallow-water fowl.
