Arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi. After immigration and baggage collection, meet the local driver at the airport for transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. Morning pickup from your hotel in Hanoi between 07:15 and 07:45 for a shuttle transfer to Ninh Binh. After a two-hour drive arrive at Hoa Lu to explore the historical capital and learn about its significance in the late 9th century. Enjoy local lunch at a restaurant then embark on a 1.5-hour small sampan boat excursion through Tam Coc to view limestone cliffs, caverns, streams and rice paddies. Visit Mua Cave and, optionally, hike to the top of Ngoa Long Mountain for panoramic views of the rice valley. Return by bus to Hanoi and be dropped at your hotel. Meals provided: breakfast and lunch. Overnight in Hanoi.

Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi and transfer by shuttle to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival at the harbour board the cruise by tender and receive a welcome drink. After check-in, enjoy lunch onboard then participate in cruise activities as per itinerary which may include exploring caves and grottos, kayaking and a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. In the evening enjoy dinner on board and experience an overnight stay on the cruise.
