Located at an altitude of 12,000 ft, Har Ki Dun Trek is one of the most mesmerizing valleys in the Garhwal Himalayas. It is also known by another name i.e., “The Valley of Gods”. The valley is beautifully surrounded by alpine vegetation and is extremely rich in Flora and Fauna. This valley is connected to Baspa Valley through Borasu Pass and is the main source of the Yamuna River. People from around the globe go for this trek in order to experience spectacular views, attractive beauty, a calm environment as well as tempting greenery. In India, this trek is considered the finest river valley trail that has never fail to entice trekkers around the world. The exquisiteness of valley is the primary attraction. Changes of colors in every season often make this route a perfect choice for nature and trek lovers. During your trek, you just cannot miss the wide lush valley, culture & hospitality of the people as well as remote communities en route. An appealing view of the Laundhar glacier, as well as the surrounding Swargarohini group of peaks, definitely makes your trek exciting and thrilling. The state bird of Uttarakhand named Himalayan Monal and several other animals can be spotted in the forest region during the trek. Not only this, but valley also offers stunning views of Jaundhar Glacier, Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini Peaks I & II as well as the Black peak that are definitely a treat to your eyes.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

ARRIVAL DAY - DEHRADUN TO BASE CAMP SANKRI (210KM DRIVE)

It will be a long drive of almost 10 hours for 210kms.
Last ATM at Purola
You can find several small shops on the way for trekking gears and collections.
At night, you will be staying in a guest house.
We will arrange a taxi for our trekkers to reach Sankri from Dehradun.
By evening, you will reach Sankri.

Day 2

SANKRI TO TALUKA (10KM DRIVE) TALUKA TO SEEMA (14KM TREK)

You will reach Taluka from Sankri within one hour as it is a 12km drive.
The altitude of Taluka is almost 7,000 ft/2,100m.
The trek distance is 14km that will take 7-hour time.
While trekking you will find several spring-water points.
Served with packed lunch.
The trek level is an easy level walk and then gradual ascent is a few parts.
Night stay in camp along with delicious dinner

Day 3

SEEMA - KALKATI DHAR (8 KM TREK)

A long day of trekking as you will trek for 8km.
Steeper ascent
Witness beautiful meadows, waterfall & a variety of flora and fauna.
You will be reaching kalkatidhar by evening.
Packed lunch.
Several spring water points.
Camp stay with mesmerizing views of nature

Day 4

KALKATIDHAR TO HAR KI DUN TO MANINDA LAKE AND BACK TO KALKATIDHAR (12 KMS BOTH SIDE)

Altitude: Har Ki Dun – 12,000ft And Moninda Lake – 13,025 ft
Trekking: 12km, 5 – 6 Hours
Easy ascent till Har Ki Doon summit then little moderate ascent to maninda lake.
Ruinsara lake is surrounded with meadows, rhododendron bushes.
Mixed trail of boulders, meadows.
You can see the waterfall along the way.
Water source sufficient.
Lunch en route and light lunch on site

Day 5

KALKATIDHAR TO SEEMA (8 KM TREK)

Trekking back to Seema early in the morning
Breathtaking views of the landscape
Packed lunch

Day 6

SEEMA TO TALUKA (14KM TREK) TALUKA TO SANKRI BASE CAMP (10KM DRIVE)

You will be trekking back to Taluka from Seema which is 14km
Served with hot delicious food
After reaching Taluka, we will drive to the Sankri base camp
Taluka to Sankri is a 10km drive.
Stay in guest house.

Day 7

DEPARTURE FROM SANKRI TO DEHRADUN

Driving back to Dehradun from Sankri which is 210km
It is going to be a log drive of almost 10 hours, be prepared
You will be reaching Dehradun by evening
Get your bookings done accordingly in trains from Dehradun

Stay is included on all days of the trek ( from Sankari to Sankri ).
Guesthouse stay will be at sankari and on other days you will be staying in tents (2 per tent).
All meals from dinner at Sankari on Day 1 to breakfast on Day 7 are included.
Meals are simple, nutritious and vegetarian.
All the trek equipment will be included like a sleeping bag, kitchen & dining tent, utensils, mattress, tent, toilet tent, and crampon (if needed).
Note:- Tents and sleeping bags are custom made of Trekup India which are tested on high altitudes by our mountain expert trek team.
First aid medical kits, oxygen cylinder as well as stretcher.

All the needed forest entry fees along with permits.
Your trek will be led by a trained, experienced professional guides and trek leaders with a solid guiding background, times of particular nature and trekking experience, medical certifications, and a passion for leading people into breathtaking terrains.

All kinds of personal expenditures are excluded.
Anything that we have not mentioned avobe.
The trek cost is not inclusive of meals bought during the journey on 1st day and last day. ( Food starts from dinner at base camp on day first till last day breakfast ).
Mules or porter charges to carry private baggage (Offload Charges for bag 500 per day, per bag. Note: bag weight should not be more than 11 kg.
Any kind of emergency evacuation charges
