Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive New Delhi

  Traditional welcome at Indira Gandhi International airport by Trail Blazers Expeditions executive. After welcome drive in your private air-conditioned deluxe car/coach to your pre-booked hotel for overnight stay to rest from jetlag.
• Day 2 : New Delhi

  After breakfast meet your expert guide at the hotel lobby and proceed for a wonderful guided sightseeing of Old and New Delhi to visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rickshaw ride in Old Delhi's famous Chandni Chowk area, Raj Ghat - remation ground of Mahatma Gandhi, drive past through Rashtrapati Bhawan (President's house), India Gate and Parliament house. After lunch visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb and Lotus Temple. Evening give us a pleasure to host a dinner for you at local restaurant with the cultural events. Overnight at the hotel.

• Day 3 : New Delhi - Agra

  Early morning transfer to New Delhi railway station to enjoy the Indian train ride to Agra - the famous land of Taj Mahal. On arrival met and proeed for the sightseeing of Itmad - Ud - Daulah tomb. Later check-into the hotel. After lunch visit Agra fort and world famous Taj Mahal - the eternal story of love. Enjoy the beauty of love in the dull sunshine. Overnight at the hotel.

• Day 4 : Agra - Gwalior

  After breakfast board the train to Gwalior where one sees the co-existence of a richest cultural tradition and modern day life, where a royal by-gone era lives on in great palaces and their museums. Overnight at hotel.

  After a delicious breakfast enjoy a half day guided tour of Gwalior including the Gwalior Fort, Teli-ka-Mandir, Sas-Bahu Mandir, Jai Vilas Palace and Tansen's Tomb. Evening proceed for Shivpuri. Overnight at hotel.

• Day 6 : Shivpuri - Chanderi - Orchha

  An early morning safari to Madhav National Park. After breakfast guided sightseeing of Shivpuri summer capital of the Scindia rulers of Gwalior including Chhatris, Madhav Vilas Palace, Sakhya Sagar Boat Club, Bhadaiya Kund. Afternoon drive to Orrcha enroute visit Chanderi, surrounded by hills, lakes and forests, and there are several monuments of Bundela Rajputs and Malwa Sultans. Overnight at hotel.

• Day 7 : Orchha - Khajuraho

  After breakfast a guided tour of Orchha including Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Chaturbhuj Temple, Laxminarayan Temple and Chhatris (Cenotaphs). In the afternoon drive to Khajuraho. Arrive and check-into the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

  After breakfast enjoy a day excursion to Sanchi - known for its Stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars dating from the 3rd century B.C. to 12th century A.D. The most famous of these monuments, the Sanchi Stupa 1 was originally built by the Great Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. Overnight at hotel.

• Day 13 : Bhopal - Bhojpur - Bhimbetika - Bhopal

  After breakfast at the hotel proceed for the excursion tour to Bhojpur founded by the legendary Parmar King of Dhar, Raja Bhoj (1010-1053), and named after him, renowned for the remains of its magnificent Shiva temple and cyclopean dam. Later visit Bhimbetka, 46-kms south of Bhopal. In this rocky terrain of dense forest and craggy cliffs, over 600 rock shelters belonging to the Neolithic age which were recently discovered. Evening Return to Bhopal. Overnight at hotel.

  Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and proceed for Ujjain on the banks of river Shipra - been regarded since times immemorial as sacred. The belief in the sacredness of Shipra, has its origins in the ancient Hindu mythological tale of churning of the Ocean by the Gods and the Demons. Overnight at hotel.

  After breakfast drive to Maheshwar - This town finds mention in the epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata. Later visit Rajgaddi and Rajwada and Ek Mukhi Datta temple. Also it has been a centre of handloom weaving since the 5th century. Maheshwari Sarees were introduced into Maheshwar by Rani Ahilyabai, and are renowned throughout India for their unique weave.
