Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Drive from Chandigarh to Dalhousie (320 km/approx. 8 hours)

  This morning marks the day of your road trip to Dalhousie.
  A gorgeous hill station, Dalhousie lies in Himachal Pradesh, across five hills namely Potreys, Kathlog, Bakrota, Tehra, and Balun. Named after Lord Dalhousie, a British Viceroy, Dalhousie, lies 2036 m above sea level. Studded with snow-capped peaks, Deodar and Oak trees, Dalhousie is a nature paradise. The place was used by British bureaucrats as a summer retreat and thus has a great deal of old world charm to it.
  Providing a gateway to the Chamba District, known for its temples, arts, crafts and its rich Hindu culture, Dalhousie allows you to don your explorer's hat to get the best of this destination. After reaching Dalhousie, check-in to your hotel and rest. Later in the evening, enjoy the markets nearby and shop from the local shops. Then dine at one of the local restaurants.
  Later, come back to the hotel and enjoy a comfortable stay at the hotel.

• Day 2 : Sightseeing in Dalhousie

  Today we ready to explore the best of Dalhousie and head out on a full-day sightseeing tour in the morning.
  We begin with a beautiful spot that houses various water springs called Panchpula. Satdhara, a really famous spring is known to contain various medicinal and healing properties. Panchpula is also famous for a monument built in the memory Sardar Ajit Singh, a great freedom fighter.
  Next stop is the Subhash Baoli that is named after freedom fighter Subhash Candra Bose and is famous as it is believed to be a spot where Netaji spent some time in the year 1937. This place is also a well-known picnic spot due to its stunning locales providing eye soothing views of snow capped hills and lovely trees.
  Later, stop by at the Bhulwani Mata Temple at Bara Pathar. Nestled in the thick forests of the Ahla, this is a small temple, yet very popular. Located en route Kalatope, a lot of trekkers take a break here while on their way up. No visit to Dalhousie is complete without seeing the snow covered peaks of the Bakrota Hills that lie at the height of 2085 m above sea level.
  Later, return to the hotel to enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

• Day 3 : Drive from Dalhousie to Khajiar (25 km/approx. 1 hour)

  In the morning, begin your road journey to Khajjiar. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and enjoy your day at leisure enjoying its green ambiance.
  Stay overnight at the hotel.

• Day 4 : Drive from Khajjiar to Dharamshala (120 km/approx. 4 hours)

  Today in the morning after breakfast, get set for your date with Dharamshala.
  Lying in the Dhauladhar ranges of Himalayas, Dharamshala serves as home to the Dalai Lama and the government of Tibetan in exile. Like all hill stations, Dharamshala has been endowed with bounteous natural beauty and has many snow-covered peaks and pine and deodar forests. A beautiful blend of Indian and Tibetan cultures, Dharmashala has lots of temples and monasteries to entice its visitors.
  Upon arrival at Dharamshala, check-in to your hotel and enjoy remainder evening at leisure. Spend the night at the hotel.

• Day 5 : Sightseeing in Dharamshala

  This morning, begin your day long sightseeing tour of Dharamshala. On this tour, you will get a chance to see many attractive sites including the Kangra Museum, St John’s Church, Dal lake and many colourful temples and gompas.
  St. John's Church is surrounded by various fir, deodar and pine trees. It boasts of neo-Gothic style of architecture and houses monument inside that is dedicated to Lord Elgin, British Viceroy of India during the 19th century.
  Next stop is the Tibetan Medical Centre located in Kangra. Learn about the traditional system for preparing medicinal pills in Tibet. Also visit the Art Museum that showcases artifacts from the 5th century. Various sculptures, paintings and pots are also on display here.
  After seeing the best of Dharamshala, return to your hotel and relax. Enjoy the remaining evening at leisure and stay overnight at the hotel.

• Day 6 : Drive from Dharamshala to Chandigarh (250 km/approx. 6 hours)

  In the morning, check-out of the hotel and drive to Chandigarh for your onwards journey.
