This Place Is Famous For Hot Sulphur Springs Revered By Both Hindus & Sikhs Pilgrimages. The Water Of The Spring Is Also Said To Be Radio-Active Which Cures Many Skin Diseases. According To An Ancient Saying Manikaran Is Also Connected With Lord Shiva And His Divine Concert Goddess Parvati. On The Way Also Visit Kasol Valley Charmingly Located On Open Space With Slopes Down To A Broad Expanse Of Clear White Sand At Edge Of The River Parvati, Vaishno Temple Which Is A Small Cave And Shrine With An Image Of Goddess Vaishno Devi. Morning after breakfast proceed on a sightseeing tour of Chandigarh visiting the Rock Garden (open from 10:00am - 07:00Pm on all days). Spread across 64 Acres, this garden is created by Nek Chand using Rocks, bottle tops, Fluorescent Lights, mud guard, tin can, broken glass, building waste etc. collected from door to Door. The creative artist built dolls and figures of birds, men and women and set them along a maze of paths; the rose garden- spread over an area of 30 acres and having 1600 different species of Roses, cactus garden- covering an areas of 7 acres, this is Asia's largest garden of its kind with over 3500 species of cactus. Thereafter drive 20 kms to visit the 17th century pinjore gardens spread over an area of 100 acres. According to Hindu mythology. it is believed that the Pandava brothers rested here during their exile. The garden Contains a mini Zoo, nursery , a Japanese Garden, Historic palaces and picnic lawns. The dam has led to the creation of Gobind sagar,a 40sq km reservoir where one can enjoy boating.
