Arrive Guwahati. Received and transfer to Hotel. Evening visit the Shankardev Kalashetra - a cultural center with a fine deposition of the life and culture of the people of Assam. If time permits visit the Shilpagram - for Handloom and handicrafts of the North East. Return to hotel. Overnight.

After breakfast drive to Kamakhya Temple (10kms) on the Nilachal Hills - a seat of the tantrik cult in India and one of the 108 Shakti Peethas of the country. Thereafter drive to Shillong (110kms/3hrs). Reach in the afternoon and check in at Hotel. Evening visit the local market at Shillong. Overnight.

Full day excursion visit to Cherrapunjee (56kms/2hrs) - magnificent hill drive with breathtaking view of nature in her pristine beauty. Sightseeing around Cherrapunjee and return to Shillong in the evening. Overnight.

After breakfast sightseeing around Shillong - visit the Elephant Falls and the Shillong Peak. Afternoon after lunch depart for Kaziranga National Park (320kms/7hrs) - reach in the evening and check in at a jungle resort.

Full day at Kaziranga - a World Heritage Site and home to the one horned rhinoceros along with many other animals, ducks and birds. Take a joy ride in an elephant and jeep safari in the Park. Overnight. (Kaziranga National Park is officially open for visitors from 01 November to 30 April every year. However, between May and October limited elephant ride and jeep safaris are still possible, subject to weather conditions, in the periphery of the park. Rhinos are in abundance and therefore the chances of sighting rhinos and other park animals are as good as during the official opening period of the park. Further one can explore the park by boat also).

After breakfast drive to Guwahati (220kms/5hrs) - reach in the afternoon. Option to enjoy a boat cruise in the Brahmaputra river and visit the Umananda Temple in the midst of the river (subject to weather condition). Evening free for shopping or at leisure. Return to hotel and stay overnight.
