Arrive Guwahati. Received and transfer to Hotel. Evening visit the Shankardev Kalashetra – a cultural centre with a fine deposition of the life and culture of the people of Assam. If time permits visit the Shilpagram – for handloom and handicrafts of the North East. Return to hotel. Overnight.

Full day at Guwahati visiting the Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills, the silk weaving centre at Sualkuchi and famous for the golden silk of Assam, Hajo which is a religious centre for the Hindus, Muslims and the Buddhist. Return to Guwahati in the evening and stay overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast drive to drive to Shillong (110kms/3hrs). Reach in the afternoon and check in at Hotel. Evening visit the local market at Shillong. Overnight.

After breakfast sightseeing around Shillong – visit the Bosco museum, Wards Lake and church. Afternoon after lunch departs for Kaziranga National Park (320kms/7hrs) – reach in the evening and check in at a jungle resort.

a World Heritage Site and home to the one horned rhinoceros along with many other animals, ducks and birds. Take a joy ride in an elephant and jeep safari in the Park. Overnight.

(Kaziranga National Park is officially open for visitors from 01 November to 30 April every year. However, between May and October limited elephant ride and jeep safaris are still possible, subject to weather conditions, in the periphery of the park. Rhinos are in abundance and therefore the chances of sighting rhinos and other park animals are as good as during the official opening period of the park. Further one can explore the park by boat also.)
