Kataldhar is a waterfall located near by Lonavala in Maharashtra state, which eventually becomes the monsoon trekking paradise due it’s its quaint location and inexplicable beauty. Kataladhar is made up of two words basically, “Katal” means a wall of rock and “Dhar” means waterfall.

It is located at Rajmachi Point which is about 6.5 km away from the main marketplace of Lonavla, the Kataldhar waterfalls is famous among trekkers for its mesmerizing beauty and stunning visuals.

Kataldhar waterfalls are not active throughout the year because the falls are created by rainwater gushing down the valley. The region gets unusually heavy rains which add to the spectacular sight the valleys unfurl at the peak of the monsoon season.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Reach Kataldhar waterfall

08:00 am : Meet the team and move towards base village
09:00 am : Reach Base village and have Breakfast, Tea
09:15 am : Introuduction & Instructions
09:30 am : Move towards Kataldhar Waterfall
11:00 am : Reach Kataldhar waterfall and have a break for around 1 hr
12:01 pm : Start return Journey to the base village
02:00 pm : Reach base village, take some rest along with the lunch break
03:00 pm : Move towards lonavala station
03:30 pm : Reach Lonavala
Event Fee: Rs.1,100/- per person. Payment once done is non-refundable, do check for availability before making a payment.

We’ll be boarding the train below from our nearest local station. Train timings are shared below for convenience.

Things To Carry

Some ready to eat food like- plum cakes, fruits, chocolates, biscuits, etc
2 Litres of water must
Good trekking shoes
Extra pair of clothes, socks optional
Cap, Camera as Optional
1 packet of electrol, enerzal, glucon-D
Medications if required for individual
Avoid wearing precious ornaments on an event, if possible
And a haversack or backpack to put all the above things to be carried, so hands are free to help each other while trekking. Sling bags / jholas / trolley bags etc not allowed on the event. Please pack accordingly.

Important Notes

Basic toilet facility will be available at the base village. Considering it an outdoor activity, please prepare accordingly.
We advise participant with any medical issues /history not to opt for this event. Still If he/she does so, it should be at the participant’s risk. The management won’t be responsible for any incident.
Considering complicated route and respecting everyone’s time, we will not entertain any participant reaching base village by his/her own vehicle. One can come till meeting point by his/her vehicle and park it there and join our transport from there.
Smoking/drinking/smoke up is strictly prohibited during the event. Anyone found doing so will be immediately expelled from the event.
We request you to go through the complete itinerary. Since it is a group event, we will not be in position to entertain any request of leaving early from the event. Respecting the fellow trekmates, please adhere to the schedule and take back lovely memories.
