Located at 235 km away from Shimla, Kinnaur is known for its lush greenery and serenity. A beautiful blend of Hindu and Buddhist culture can be seen here which is well preserved by its people even in the era of modernization. Kalpa, a main village in Kinnaur is known for many beautiful temples and monasteries. Having all elements of being a Himalayan village, Kalpa is like a paradise for nature lovers. Our third destination, Sangla is located in Sangla valley near Tibetan border. This town with green meadows and snowcapped mountains can even be considered as a city because it has almost all amenities of a city except excess population and pollution. The main attraction of Sangla is its Baspa River which adds beauty to the town.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Delhi - Shimla

Arrive at Delhi airport on scheduled date, at scheduled time and take a flight to Shimla. After reaching Shimla, spend rest of your day exploring nearby area, have dinner and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 2

Shimla - Sangla

Kufri Bhimakali Temple

After breakfast, drive from Shimla to Sarahan with via thick woods of Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda. On reaching Sarahan, check in to your hotel and leave to explore the town. Till evening, enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Shrikhand Mahadev Peak and visit Bhimakali Temple. Attend the mesmerizing Aarti at Bhimakali Temple and return to your hotel for overnight stay and delicious dinner.

Day 3

Baspa Valley - Sangla

Next morning post breakfast you will be taken to Baspa valley. Spend entire day exploring Baspa valley. Witness sunset by banks of Baspa River. Then after arrive at Sangla and check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Sangla - Chitkul - Sangla

Kamru Fort

After breakfast, visit ancient Kamru Fort and Temple of goddess Kamakhya Devi. After lunch, leave for a short trip to Chitkul, the last village on Indo-Tibetan trade route. Walk through dense meadows and gurgling streams of Chitkul. As the day ends, return to your hotel in Sangla for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Sangla - Kalpa

Post breakfast, check out from your hotel and head to Kalpa. Have a peaceful walk around this beautiful town, shop from local shops and please your eyes with picturesque view of this town. Visit ‘Shivlinga’ a holy rock by side of Kalpa which changes hues with passing hour. After lunch, go for a trip to Roghi village to get a closer look to ‘PAHARI’ way of life. Return to hotel and stay overnight in Kalpa.

Day 6

Kalpa

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy the sunrise over Kinnaur Kailash peak. Taste Kalpa’s famous Apples and Chilgoza fruits. After breakfast, visit Narayan Nagini Temple Complex which has Temples of Hindu, Buddhist and local deities. Spend your evening alongside a stream. Have traditional dinner at a local restaurant in Kalpa and stay overnight in hotel.

Day 7

Kalpa - Shimla

After breakfast, drive from Kalpa to Shimla which is at a travelling distance of 240 km. Reach Shimla by evening and spend rest of your day visiting nearby tourist spots. Have dinner and catch a flight to Delhi at evening.
