Kovalam Kanyakumari Packages

We converge in the capital city of Kerala – Trivandrum. This city is rich with culture and history. Check in to the hotel and take rest for some time. Post lunch, we leave for one of the most beautiful beach destinations in the country – Kovalam! The evening is spent here in leisure, listening to the sound of the waves. Remember to pack sunscreen, sunglasses etc. You could also take a short sunset boat ride around the shores. We have exotic local food for dinner and return to the hotel for overnight stay.

The day starts early and packed with excitement as we prepare ourselves to go touch the southernmost tip of India – Kanyakumari, which is also known as Cape Comorin from the British days. It is an unforgettable drive from Trivandrum to Kanyakumari with paddy fields and coconut trees keeping you company. We can have some delicious Appam, Puttu or Dosa on the way. We go to the Kanyakumari (Virgin Goddess) Temple and also visit the Gandhi Mandapam. The highlight of the day is the mesmerizing spectacle of the Sangam (meeting) of the three water bodies. Post this we take you to visit the colossal statue (133 feet) of Tamil saint poet Thiruvalluvar. You also get the chance to spend some quiet time at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and enjoy a spectacular sunset there. Return to Trivandrum for overnight stay at the hotel.

On this day we have breakfast and head out to visit the very popular and beautiful Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. You have to follow a certain dress code to visit this place. This temple offers simplicity and peace and also introduces people to the age-old traditions and rituals. Next we visit the Puthen Malika Palace, also known as Kuthira Malika (mansion of horses). It has some extremely outstanding carvings. After this we visit Veli – a picturesque tourist village, where we can enjoy boat rides and witness the spectacle of Veli Lake meeting the Arabian Sea. Last but by no means least on the agenda, is shopping! Bargaining is the key here! Also don’t forget to munch on fresh fruits. With that we come to the end of this enchanting trip and head to the airport for our journey back home.
