Manali is a city in the Himachal Pradesh state of India. [2] It is located in the Kullu Valley, which is formed by the Beas River, near the northern end. The town is around 270 kilometres (170 miles) north of Shimla, the state capital, and 544 kilometres (338 miles) northeast of Delhi, the national capital. Manali is the starting point of an old trade route that runs through Lahaul and Ladakh, across the Karakoram Pass, and on to Yarkand and Hotan in China's Tarim Basin, with a population of 8,096 people according to the 2011 Indian census. Manali is a major tourist resort in India that acts as a gateway to the Lahaul and Spiti area as well as Leh.
Between Manali and Larji, the Beas River forms the Kullu Valley, a vast open valley. This valley is notable for its temples, as well as its hills covered in pine and deodar forests and apple orchards. The Beas river's route, which starts in Beas Kund[1], takes you through a series of breathtaking landscapes, with deodar woods towering over pine trees on the lower rocky ridges, bringing the best out of this lovely town. Kullu Valley is located in Northern India, 497 kilometres from India's capital. It is sandwiched between the Pir Panjal, Lower Himalayan, and Great Himalayan Ranges.
