Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Drive from Kathgodam/Haldwani to Almora (3 hours).

  Almora is known for its rich cultural heritage and distinctive horseshoe-shaped ridge. Check into your traditional Kumaoni-style hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the historical Lala Bazaar, a kilometer-long market with unique copperware and handicrafts, soaking in the local architecture and ambiance of this ancient hill town.

• Day 2 : Almora

  Local Almora Sightseeing. Start with a visit to the Chitai Golu Devta Temple, famous for the countless bells tied by devotees after their wishes are fulfilled. Later, explore the Kasar Devi Temple, a spot famed for its magnetic field, attracting artists and spiritual seekers since the 1970s. Enjoy a quiet sunset view from Bright End Corner before retiring for the night.

• Day 3 : Drive from Almora to Munsiyari (7 hours).

  This is a long but mesmerizing drive into the heart of the Kumaon Himalayas, often called the 'Little Kashmir.' The road offers increasingly dramatic views of the Panchachuli peaks. Arrive at Munsiyari, the base for many high-altitude treks, and check into your hotel, enjoying the remote, serene atmosphere.

• Day 4 : Munsiyari Exploration and Khaliya Top Hike.

  Start the day with a visit to the Tribal Museum, learning about the local Bhotia tribe culture and history. In the afternoon, embark on an easy hike to Khaliya Top (or a section of it) to get closer to the magnificent Panchachuli (Five Chimneys) mountain range. Return to Munsiyari in the evening for dinner.

• Day 5 : Drive from Munsiyari to Pithoragarh (4 hours).

  Pithoragarh, situated in a valley, is a historical town near the borders of Nepal and Tibet. Visit the Pithoragarh Fort (Saurgarh) for a historical perspective and beautiful valley views. Explore the local markets, known for their unique trade history, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this lesser-known Kumaoni town.

• Day 6 : Drive from Pithoragarh back to Kathgodam (6 hours).

  The return journey is scenic, passing through winding roads and small villages. Take a final stop at the Jageshwar Temple Complex, known for its cluster of over 100 ancient Hindu stone temples dating back to the 9th to 13th centuries, before being dropped off at your final destination, concluding the tour.
