The entire 11 ROCK-HEWN CHURCHES are built from a single rock which is practically the size of the town of lalibella it self and are built from the surface down and not the reverse(still a mystery to engineers and architects!) and are all connected to each other via underground caves and roads. the church took 23 years to completion and are built by KING AND SAINT LALIBELLA and the town is named after him. the church was built as a second jerusalem to the pilgrims travelling to jerusalem at that time. SAINT LALIBELLA also built a church called ADADI MARYAM in southern part of Ethiopia.

Day 1

You will be welcome by Amazon tour operation staffs upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Dese : on the way you will visit one of the town of Debre Brihan and some Churches and people activities. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3

(290 Km) from Dese - Lalibela :Visit town of Lalibela . Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 4

Full Day in Lalibela

visiting the first group,which comprises of seven churches: Bette Medehanialem, Bette Mariam, Bette Meskel, Bette Denagil, Bette Debre Sina, Bette Golgota and the Silassie chapel. These groups of churches are mostly excavated from below the ground, and are surrounded by courtyards and trenches, so that they mimic normal buildings. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 5

Full Day in Lalibela

The second group of churches in Lalibela consists of five churches: Bette Emanuel, Bette Merkorios, Bette Abba Libanos, Bette Lehem and Bette Gebrial-Rufael. A thirteenth church, Bette Giorgis stands discrete from the two main clusters. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Bahir Dar: On the same day Morning drive to see the Blue Nile falls. afternoon boat excursion on Lake Tana. .Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Full Day in Bahir Dar

Morning drive to see the Blue Nile falls.In the after noon visit the Bahir Dar town and museum.Dinner and overnight in hotel.
