Keylong to shuctoo- Khanjer 82km (4260m) by car
By car through Chenab valley. On the way visit, Trilokinath temple and Udaipur see Merkul temple, and drive to Shukto the last connected road. Cross the Mayar nalha and reach to Khanjer the last village of this valley over night at camp

Khanjer - Thanpathan 6km. (4400m)
Continue along the left bank . Ford a side stream originating from shinku pass. Climb to the campsite at the confluence of a side stream with a Mayer stream. Camp on the pasture.

Thanpathan - Khai Ghot 13 kms. (4600m)
Go upstream Mayar Nala the track becomes difficult as you have to cross several streams. camp at khai got . on the way various alpine flowers may be seen . Mayar valley is famous for its blue poppies.

Khai Got - Phalphu 14 kms (4600m)
Trek along the left bank. The ascent becomes more rugged. Camp at the snout of the Mayer glacier. one gets a very good view of the great Himalayan ranges

Halt
Halt for acclimatization and rearrange of food and equipment for walk over the glacier snow boots ice axe & may be taken out for use on the glacier.

Phalphu - Glacier camp1-- 12kms (4800m)
Glacier and crevasses have walked up. Cross the river to the other side which is the better route.

Camp1- Camp2 - 07kms (5000m)
Put up camp2 near the snout of the glacier. On the way, crevasses have to be crossed.

Camp2-Doksa 08kms (5125m)
Better use rope for crossing crevasses. They can also cross by jumping.

Doksa - Chemo Chokier
Climb down along the easily identifiable trek to Chemo. Good camping site available.

Chemo Chokier------ Bardang Gonpa Padum 8kms (3560m)
Go down to along the left bank of nacho originating from the pass. Cross two small streams to reach Bardang Gonpa and drive to Padum night at hotel.
